@AZI_7905 Success was established earlier than the 19th century. It's a French name like many other communities in that area - Triumph, La Bonne Intention, Felicity, Le Resouvenir, Montrose, Chateau Margot etc. During the French war with England the colony was given back to the Dutch before becoming British again. The place is steeped in history, the most famous of which was the Demerara Rebellion

@AZI_7905 yes, you are correct. My ancestors after 1838 were placed at Chateau Margot. Others would have been placed in other surrounding areas
I visited Success once. I don't remember the place, but I recalled that there's a masjid at the head of the street that I went into, and more down, there was a primary school ,, I believe. 💪💪👍🏽🙏💯🇬🇾
@@Reza-1223 u can see the primary school at the start of the video, but its actually in Chateau Margot... if u look at the drone video of the public road, u will be able to recognize the masjid, whis is in Le Resouvenir, but at the border of Success..

Fyi Ogle had almost a Guyana 11 n few represented Guyana HOW many Better hope had ?And more so It was because of Better hope unfairness Board umpires intervene Get your facts updated n take care

I was talking abt the 1999 match... I had the score wrong as I couldn't recall..but if you Google Ogle VS Better Hope, you would see BH and ogle did not reach after many years because of being in different group..also if you check, you would see the BH had the better of Ogle in the few other times they met in recent times..
Tell dem deh buddy! Ogle always beat dem rass😂
@@AZI_7905 a cricket match between Ogle and Betterhope ever ended without controversy 😁? I recalled umpire Gojigs making controversial decisions in favor of Betterhope😁. Do you know that Prit and Twistie had represented Ogle in the Northcoat division in 84?
