Bass players know how intense the heat turned up the moment flea started playing.
Like #666 12:12 p.m. Pacific Time Zone Orange 🍊 County Californiacation...
Eu amo essa música
Good thing he stuck to acting because his guitar playing sucks. I’ve been playing my whole life and you can fake it, but you can’t make it by faking it. The guy sucked.
❤ gone too soon
Hello fellow RP fans 🎉
gosh, they were soo good!!
river phoenix forever 🥀
I thought he could play guitar.
Bro literally woke up washed his face and went straight to the premier and still looks better than most people there.

It's a great sound, so much pontential.🎉
❤
きっと生きていたらキアヌ・リーブスみたいな感じだったと思う。セレブを気取ることなく周囲に優しくて本当に心も綺麗な人。
And can you imagine he was against all drugs and dope ever and..... Great actor!
I start hearing the band in 2020, still so amazed by their musics. River would've been a great artist
when darkness meets the light
Sounds like shite.
Kinda Blue 😉
Esse menino tinha uma blz Estonteante!😽💕🌸
i just found out the first night john furchante played with the peppers was at the viper room the night river died. river did so many drugs that night because he realized he wouldnt be playing with the peppers
I never knew there were so many guitar experts in the comments. I bet the majority of you criticising River have never even picked up a guitar in your lives. It's just two young guys playing around and having fun in a living room, they're not charging anyone to see them. Who cares if the guitar playing is accurate or not. Plus flea is a professional musician, River was an amateur guitarist who liked to play for fun, obviously flea is going to be better.
I miss River!! 😢
I never had found this lyrics...
Dude cant play guitar at all but really wants to look like he can
Whoa OK everybody stop right now. Stop think about what you are typing flea is extremely overrated you’re just repeating what you hear from another person. He is not that good of a bass player. He’s terrible stop repeating what everyone is telling you through the Internet. He’s not that good he slap bass plays, that is not talented. You need to really start doing research on guitars and bass players and techniques. Go see live musicians listen to them play live not industrial crap not TH-cam crap this man is a bad person. He has destroyed many lives. He is overrated in our CP. He is John Prante’s handler he gave John the fatal dose of his best friend river killshot dose so that way John would rejoin the red hot chili peppers. He wanted nothing to do with the industry acid river. He has black mailed his way into having John create billions of dollars for this band, making us look like the bad guy destroying John to the point where he is medicated on lithium, and whatever right now he almost killed himself trying to get fired then his best friend River died, and everyone blames him because he did what flea asked him to do after flea promise river a spot to play this person is a handler John from Red Hot chili pepper, as well as Josh rice all of the music aspects they both play guitar John rhythm Josh leading Josh plays the drums. John plays the bass, and they teach flea and Chad everything they have wrote has a great drummer, but he is not the creator, but he’s great at creating as well he’s just underneath Josh behind the scenes and John is underrated because he plays the hits that he’s forced to play for this band because if not, he’s going down for a murder that he did not commit just stop think about what you’re saying. Where are you getting this information about him being the best bassist?
wadiyatalkinabeet
He could have been in a Batman film as a villain maybe as The Riddler or as a hero being Batman himself
Wish I knew them

River will never be forgotten. I always come back to this song when I miss him.
Me too. I discovered this song and bought it on cassette just before he died. I cried and cried. Thirty years later, I still cry.

What's that song called 4:20 ?
The song is Popular Thinks
Shittt!!! That’s the talent you can’t learn fast! 😭 missed riooo! 😢 maybe if he’s here he’s touring with his band
Замечательный!Как его любили.. 🙏🙏🙏🌸🌸🌸💔💔💔
They almost sound like Primas
river with guitar supremacy

Too bad people expect Jimmy Page or some world-class player whenever a person is on video playing guitar, and if they’re not mind-blowing people say they suck. River didn’t suck but wasn’t great. But he was a professional actor, not a professional guitar player, who was just having fun with friends. People just take things too seriously on TH-cam instead of just enjoying the video. You can tell at certain parts (6:43 is one example) he does know how to play a bit, but was just messing around w friends. I’m still not claiming he’s an amazing guitar player but he’s not as bad as some are saying. Give “Aleka’s Attic” by River Phoenix a listen, he really shines in that one, I highly recommend it if you wanna hear an actual song he's performing on stage with a band.
Reminds me a little of Beck mixed with a little Hillel Slovak but not as good. (obviously, Hillel was an amazing guitarist)
He was a awful guitar player........
It seems like they didn’t communicate what key they were in. And from what I’m seeing it looks like River doesn’t know theory enough to figure it out on the spot. Flea seems to have a more stable tonic going on. My guess is that River was self taught and is used to writing from a more slow and methodical approach. Just because you aren’t great at improvising doesn’t mean you can’t be a great player. His songs show that he was fully capable of playing cohesive pieces of music.
Well said. 🙏🙏
This sounds great! I don’t care what anyone else thinks but to me, this is legendary :)
