This is so smart and obvious when presented this way. The feminist emphasis on gender power control and entitlement and the mental health focus on trauma naturally go together. I don’t know why it’s gotten so polarized but kudos to you for synthesizing approaches

I had the pleasure of connecting with James at the BISC-MI conference! After a few minutes of conversation the first day, we both realized he was the individual who trained my ED & previous staff to get our BIP up and running! Thank you both for all the amazing information you provide to those of us facilitating these groups. We couldn't create change without you!

'Whoever spares the rod hates their children, But the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them. Proverbs 13:24 I have seen kids who were robbing other kids of their lunch money transformed into model students after one heavy session with the principal with an oak paddle. In England, the schools used to post a sign over the doors: "learn or depart or else be whipped". Ignore the fantasy talk conflating paddles and belts designed to discipline vs. heavy sticks that cause physical damage to the kid. Bleeding heart social workers who live in Ivory towers should not push their fantasies over proven reality based methods that encourage kids to become law abiding citizens who don't do flash mob robberies of 7/11s and carjackings, as seen today in the discipline free USA.
