Its been about 5 years since this video was released. Madman no longer releases Anime and JB Hifi no longer sells that set.

I started with a SD 702T and a Shure Fp32 back in 2013 and then changed to 302 but I still got really good sound from that Fp32. Good times.

You know, its funny its been maybe 2 years since I made that video. I've bought a number of other items from versace. And I would agree particularly in regards to t-shirts its probably not worth its price point. But denim and wool they do extremely well. Like I would argue that in their price point the do denim better than anyone.

I generally use Ursa Mini mounts

It maybe 10x cheaper, but the construction of the garment, quality of the fabric and print is 10x worse. But at the end of the day if you don't really care about that or cant tell the difference then you're right the floxtum.com is a much better deal.

Tbh I reckon there will be for Laserblast, doubt it for Puppet Master. Just heard that the 3rd Vintage box set sold out on the signed versions. Which is crazy!

It's a Portabrace Bag, can't remember the model but I know they still have it.

The CL-8 is not necessary, but it might be very helpful depending on the work you do. I do a lot of mixing and changing routing on mix tracks so to me it makes sense to have it. If you don't do any mixing then you're fine without it.

I definitely agree with you in that statement, and their leather jackets are gorgeous. That said its often a lot easier to tell the difference between leather or silk products rather than tshirts when it comes to authenticity, especially if you're new to luxury items and don't necessarily know what you are looking at.

How do you rate the microphone preamps on the 302, compared to the Mix Pre?

Yeah i watched tumbling doll of flesh, similarly distributed by massacre video. Id honestly say that tumbling doll is the most disturbing film ive ever seen, and thats including august underground trilogy, just so raw and unpleasant. Like its still a great film, but damn tough to watch.

Personally I think it was a mistake by the publisher Madman, it should actually be M, this happens quite often. Original print artwork of the New Ghost In the Shell Series originally had a PG rating, which was obviously not correct, and then later amended. Because this box had a quick turn around, I believe it was just an error. As there is no "extra content" that would justify a increase in rating.

The best way to utilize an MM-1 with a zoom f8 or mix pre is to feed the microphone into the mm-1 and then feed the line out signal of the mm-1 to the line in input of the recorder. Best way to utilize a low noise floor is to set gain on the mm-1 appropriately (i usually set it to 42 or 46db for film - depending on the scene) with the zoom or mixpre set to 0db trim. I used to use this setup into a zoom f8 it worked excellently and sounds great, best way to utilize quality pre-amps into a cost effective recorder. If you have any other questions dont hesitate to ask.

@@alexchristensen2651 no worries. Yeah I was thinking this wee box could be really useful for live sound performers wanting a personal feed so they can hear themselves without needing a sound guy, and mix in the click they get fed etc.

I have a 744T as a backup which replaced a zoom f8. Super easy to just switch out the 788t with the 744t and I'm ready to go. I only use rechargeables for testing txs (ifb receivers and slates I use rechargeables for), purely because I have had problems in the past using zaxcom txs with rechargeables - where signal would cut out in the middle of a shot (after 30 minutes for example). I feel non-rechargable lithium to be super reliable

Oh! Little bit surprised you swapped an F8 for a 744T, I couldn't ever see myself trading in my F8 for a 744 So the only non-rechargables you ever use are the lithiums? PRICEY! I know some mixers who make notes/marks of when they buy their rechargeables, then after say 3 years they get demoted to less important tasks like IFBs (as rechargeable battery capacity do decrease over their lifespan) then after another 3 years they get chucked out completely.

@@SoundSpeeding I learnt sound recording on the f8 and it worked well for years. It got demoted to 2nd when I got the 788t (maybe 2 or 3 years ago). But I got rid of the zoom f8 for the 744t cause I love the preamps and you can link it together with a 788t for 12 I so channels. As well as having AES in and out, so it just fit better in my workflow. In terms of the batteries I used that system with lectrosonics and sennheiser, but for some reason zaxcom just doesn't like them and even with new batteries or pretty batteries i get that problem. So i think better to be safe and pay a bit more than be sorry.

@@alexchristensen2651 sometimes I regret going Lectrosonics instead of Zaxcom, like when the amazingly tempting Nova just got announced! But then when I hear about quirks like Zaxcom transmitters not playing nicely with rechageables.... ??? I'm happy again! :-)

@@SoundSpeeding I totally feel you, like Zaxcom have quirks, they don't always play nicely, but when you figure them out you won't ever regret going down that path. Zaxnet, tx recording and AES make my life a breeze.

Generally speaking, you should dry clean mainline Versace t-shirts. In terms of Versace Collection and Versace Jeans are generally washable. That said I used to have a long sleeve t-shirt like you describe that had studs on it and I was able to a light washing cycle, turned out fine. How did it get destroyed? In colour or texture? Out of curiosity did you buy it in store from versace, online or second hand?

@@alexchristensen2651 got them new from versace online.the dry cleaners took of the versace logo which was a shine silver finish. and the one i destroyed i took all the gold logo which was all over the t shirt.just said versace all over the front in gold.got the versace jeans from a website called mainlinemenswear.com i done my home work before i ever buy anything online that website is very good for designer goods its checks out.

@@34powerman Man that sounds shit as. Its weird cause I've never had any problem like this. Maybe drop versace an email advising them of the problem (they may be able to refund you) and also how to clean the v-jeans item.

Nice mate! Damn, looks like your buying tons of good stuff. Cedar, MM-1, wouldn't be surprised if you went for the X3 Oh you're definitely right when I'm booming its a must, wouldn't do any job without it.

@@alexchristensen2651 sadly I'm not working on projects which can justify a Cantar X3, maybe in a few more years time! But for now it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay outside my price range :-o (although a secondhand X2 pops up now and then at tempting prices) However I am very very very happy with my Zoom F8n for now, my extra spare money can go into other areas instead of a new recorder. Can happily sit on the sidelines and wait for Sound Devices to release an amazing 2nd generation 6xx series mixer/recorder? Even if it takes them a couple of years or four to do that. Or maybe Zaxcom will update their Nomad/Maxx? (actually, I suspect Sound Devices is launching an 8xx series at this year's NAB)
