I have a standard galaxie base model 1966 428 4sp 2 Dr bench Front seat 4 wheel manual drum Brakes ,manual steering 427 medium rise heads Sidewinder aluminum intake Factory 735 holley carb....
You said the car still has it's original factory paint. Then at one point you said "a blanket peeled off the clear coat". There was no clear coat on these cars! They were painted in single stage acrylic enamel.
Some additional info/corrections ... first, head’s up these `66 7-Litres came standard with Kelsey Hayes 4-piston caliper front disc brakes, the first year for any full-size Ford. Secondly, the door mirror was also a standard feature on all Galaxies (not a high performance option). Buyers did have the option to order a remote mirror and matching RH side if desired. Third, all 1966 Fords were painted in single-stage enamel, there is no “clear coat”. Fourth, the interior is made of vinyl instead of leather. Lastly, the latest figures from the 7-Litre Registry show there are 801 7-Litres still known to still exist. Of those, 527 are hardtops. Nice car, very rare to find with such low miles. Enjoy!
Your producton numbers are incorrect, there were actually 8,705 7-Litre hardtops built in 1966 and 11,073 7-Litres total (including 2,368 convertibles).
Gotcha. Maybe consider editing the audio because currently it says "Out of 780 7-Litres built in 1966, only 495 were hardtops" which of course is incorrect. Also, the number of 7-Litres still in existence is actually higher than 780 total & 495 hardtops.

780 left, with only 495 being hardtop, is what i believe was meant o be said, which is correct.
