Icon of the Seas Horn. Wold's biggest cruise ship by Royal Caribbean.
Icon of the Seas is a cruise ship for Royal Caribbean International and will be the lead ship of the Icon class. She is scheduled to enter service in 2024. Steel-cutting for Icon of the Seas began on 14 June 2021. On 28 October 2021, Royal Caribbean announced that the first LNG tank for the ship was installed at the Neptun Werft in Rostock, Germany. In December 2021, the floating engine room unit, including the LNG tanks, was towed to Turku by tug. The keel was laid on 5 April 2022. (Wikipedia). Next ship for Icon class will be Star of The Seas which will be made in Finland too. In May 2022, Royal Caribbean confirmed that Icon of the Seas would be bigger than the Oasis class. (Wikipedia)

RCCL rushed too fast to get this ship in the water and into service. To me,sea trials should last a good while, given the massive magnitude of this ship The ship has too much technolgy built into it and all the kinks were not ironed out
My husband and me buy in the first pick for Diamond, Diamond Plus and Pinnacle in 2022 and I wait two year for my strip September 28, 2024 and received a letter they cancel. This Ship not have one year and have to many inconvenience with electricity, air conditioning, elevator either smell And now I as here very SAD

Has there been any word around the shipyard whether STAR of the Seas will come in with a little more gross tonnage than ICON? ICON is said to be 248,663 gross tons, just wondering if STAR is expected to be closer to the predicted 250,800??
