awesome trip mate! life long memories for sure! I am planning to do all of central and south america at the end of this october! is it even worth bringing camping gear?
They didn’t check your passport or stamp you crossing into the Mexican border from America ?
I don't believe I was stamped entering Mexico, infact I recall driving right through the boarder, absolutely no one stopped me or talked to me. If it wasnt for the bike and getting a TVIP I literally could have went right through..... Going back to America was different though
Hello mate, where did you sleep during your trip ?
Good question, when I started in Canada I packed a tent and a sleeping bag, however it was October/ November so I lasted one night tenting out and said no way! I stayed in hostels and airbnb's throughout Canada and the US, some hostels here serve as half way housing though so it was hit or miss, airbnb's usually were the same price for a room in a house so whenever I wanted a quiet comfortable night that was the way to go. In Mexico and CA it was mostly Hostels as there were way more travellers who you can talk to and learn tips on where to go and what to do. However I did stay in Airbnb's every now and then too
Alex Chacon inspired. Bravo amigo, safe journey ahead.
lol exactly, based my videos from his!
Awesome video, trip looked great!
Good video and trip.
How far could you range with the fuel capacity?? The KLX250 - would you recommend??
For NewZealand I found this to be the absolute perfect bike. I would highly suggest a dual purpose bike as there are so many interesting trails off the main road to explore, a crotch rocket wouldnt do you much good here. In regards to fuel range Ive always tracked this with all my bikes, the KLX in NZ I got 130-140 kilometers per tank, my KLX300 in Australia however gave me 120 kilometers at best. These bikes are not meant for long distance. In Australia I always carried a spare jerry can along with extra water bottles full of gas for the outback. In NZ i had to be conscience about range but could always make it to the next gas station using only my tank
@@kevinkingma1182 Thanks for the reply. I purchased a WR250R and a jerry can with it to see more of the backyard of NZ. The 250 dual purpose is perfect for here. Thanks for sharing your trips-great viewing, what an adventure
Amazing adventure! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome Kevin, Finally your poppin videos out, I will make a little video about you in my channel, your story is amazing! keep traveling!
I'm a little late to reply here but I saw your video with myself in it, looks great! keep up the good work! I follow all your videos!
Very very good video series. Ken
Mate, I just watched your 3 trips (well 2). They looked amazing. Was the KLX250 you rode around Aust, the same bike you took to NZ? If so how did you ship it? Really interested to see how you did it. As we are looking at doing NZ about April 2018.
Thanks man it was a trip of a lifetime. They are 2 different bikes, I found my KLX in NZ through trademe with the luggage rack and road costs included for a little over 3 grand and I was actually able to turn a profit when I sold it
I feel like such a big pussy I've only done a 3rd of these trips on my bike and that was a long time ago I'll have to steel a jacket and have some fun good on ya Kevin It was fun working with you
Hey mark you too! Best ATV tour guide I know!
Awesome video buddy!
I want to move to NZ :)
I was there for around 2 years, I loved it and would highly recommend!
I'm so jealous :) thanks for sharing man you ride in a beautiful world.
What are the common things that would go wrong on long distant trip on motorbikes? I am thinking of doing this trip with my harley !!!
my biggest worry was getting a flat tire, luckily that never happened to me. Another thing that doesn't become a problem until you get to the outback is distance between fuel stations. do it, its an epic trip!
that is also my biggest worry (it's hard to carry a spare plus tools when you're on a bike).
I'm 52 now so i am going to go around Australia on my Harley Breakout lol and see Australia's beautiful land.
@@HarleyBreakoutGuy Hey, did you end up taking that trip around Australia
Mate, i commend you 28,000km on a 250cc klx around Oz! That shows Everyone anything is Achievable( Even at my Age) with the right Attitude!
really good series ken
Unreal video- what an experience!
