Good run bud. As for Grumpy Dave. I say, "if they are dead, why worry about cover?" 🤣
What pistol and dot are you burning it down with?
@@Platoon_Guide it's a Beretta PX4 G-SD modified by Langdon Tactical. I really like it and find it shoots better than my Beretta 92s. The dot is a Trijicon SRO.
Dot or irons? Either way you crushed it!
@@Platoon_Guide I ran it with a dot, and thanks!
I’m sure if you get the over lay they will still be dead😂😂
That's a pretty decent drill, however after your last shot always check your firearm before you re holster that scared the crap out of me
Nice run! Random question - what did you think of Stoeger and Parks class? I see ETRPC is hosting again next year, was just looking for some personal feedback. Thanks -
@@r3h4b I really liked their class. It's very focused on shooting. The lecture portion of class is less than two hours over the course of two days. If you haven't, check Ben's channel to see the lecture portion of his classes. I appreciated the class because it was effectively a supervised training session. Ben's feedback is direct but not hurtful and he really wants his students to succeed. Joel's feedback is good as well. If you've read his books the class is exactly like his books, focusing on a concept, how to do the concept right, ways to not do it right, and then shooting the concept. If you are at the point where you have to have regular training sessions to make shooting gains, or are dry firing regularly, then this will be a excellent class. If you haven't yet defined your draw, don't know which techniques are best for you, don't have a developed index, or don't practice regularly, this class would still be good but you might not get the best bang for your buck.
@@gunpowderandpaper5567 Thank you for the info., exactly what I was looking for.
@@r3h4b Great, I hope it helped!
Still good enough. That will happen from time to time. I work on reloads slot in dry fire and I try to see the empty fall out before canting it pistol towards the new mag.
Spend about 5% of your time working support hand only. I know of two cops who had to transition in the middle of the worst day of their lives. They are only alive because they practiced. Finding the dot support hand only isn’t automatic either.
@@Platoon_Guide Well said! Single hand shooting with either hand is very important.
Squared away 🤙
Great speed man good reload looks efficient
No way I can do that with iron sights at my age (51, eyeglasses). If you can target focus, the red dot is the way home!
@@Platoon_Guide I absolutely agree 100%!
Are u training to fight john wick or something 😂
@@BluumIDK haha, you never know! Gotta train just in case.
What holster?
@@chrisfettucci it's the Tier 1 MSP holster. I use the mag holder that is not attached to the holster body.
Congratulations!!!
@@JasonNCarr thanks Jason!
NOICE! Where is this training?
@@tekpower1 this was at DPC!
@@gunpowderandpaper5567 Dallad Pistol Club?
@@gunpowderandpaper5567 Dallas Pistol Club?
What holster are you using in this video? I just bought a PX4 Compact Carry 2 and looking for holster and mag pouch recommendations.
@@jdmussa I'm using the Tier 1 MSP holster that indexes off of my light. If you don't want to use a light, I have heard excellent things about Henry holsters for the PX4 compact.
Nailing it
Noice work, bro.
You made it look easy. Nice work
Twas a fun stage/match
Excellent. Im going to dedicate the remainder of my month to one strong/weak hand only.
@@hamtyboy get it! Let me know how it goes.
@gunpowderandpaper5567 it's going pretty good. Weak hand bill drills are pretty wild still, but out to 25yd A zones hasn't stressed me much. Go Faster, I guess.
You did it EZ
Very nice cold run.
Fresh
That's the way to do it, bro. Heck yeah!
Nice! What's Roger's School? Is it a training, competition, or etc?
It's a training school in Georgia, I'll be going in the fall!
@@gunpowderandpaper5567 send me a link
@@gunpowderandpaper5567 I found it. But which class are you taking?
@@tekpowertactical I'll be taking the intermediate/advanced handgun class. It'll be about 2500 rounds in 5 days!
@@gunpowderandpaper5567 NICE! Have you taken any other classes there with Rogers?
i love how even though we all know the slides not going down when we rack when its empty we all still try
Lacrayon and his Glock with da switchy has .07 splits
You right about that. Not bad at all.
you aint alla that pal meet me outside on blossom road 1556
Keep up the good work 💪
Good tip using the web of the hand to vice the grip down. Takes the fingers out of the picture more which makes sympathetic movement during trigger press less likely. Gonna start working on that!
@@MagDumpGuns let me know how it works for you!
I could see the target at the end! Light was great.
Thanks, I could barely see my screen because it was so bright.
Hands by your side is the proper drill.
The proper drill setup also uses competition open holsters. Open holsters generally save from 0.1 to 0.25 seconds over concealed holsters with the same hand placement.
@@gunpowderandpaper5567 Do not want to be impolite or snowball a message. You are fast! However you are stacking the deck with your hand placement. A "Bill Drill" can be performed safely with any holster from 3/9 o'clock or forward, with your hands in a natural position. For me the drill is real if I can perform it two contexts: USPSA match or walking in public concealed carry. For me, then it is a real time. Ending on a positive note. I enjoyed your other videos taking the Ben Stoeger classes. I am beginning to go through many of his books (including the drills we are talking about) and look forward to taking one of his classes in the future. I wish I had started this type of training at your age. Keep training hard. I bet you will have a very successful match journey in USPSA. Hope to see you on podium soon. Good luck!
@@RoxVrod It's hard to convey tone in text so I completely understand! I'm lucky I have the time and resources available now to practice and get good, Ben's info is golden. For defensive purposes I tend to have my hands up as my hands should be doing something in a defensive situation before I have to shoot, ether they're pushing someone, blocking, or holding something. You're right though that it's important to practice different hand positions and is something I need to practice more often. When I'm shooting for guns/awards/prizes I do stack the deck, especially when I start from the cheater position where I grasp my cover garment! While there are genuine uses for draws that start with grasping the garment for conceal carry shooting, I try to practice with hands up more often but "cheat" as necessary for prizes that really don't mean anything. I need to actually do some of the proper/classic Bill drills with my competition rig. I'm curious with my current limit is with my competition rig!
“Would you like to pay that with your debit card?” *Beep* “Sorry sir your card dec-“
Hahaha
Mighty salty, well done.
Thanks!
Nice movement bro.
bro tryna make a beat
Awesome, everything is smooth
Error Sele callo el cartucho policía mal entrenado
Yes! Get it M, Get it.
Nice job bro. What are you shooting?
I'm using my backup Beretta 92 customized by Langdon Tactical. I'm trying out the new RMR-HD and like it so far.
anyone else hear the terminator theme?
Couple more shots and it could’ve been “I can feel it coming in the air tonight” 😂
That's nothing I full on fell while doing transition drills with an AR and pistol. I was shooting in 2 feet of snow. You tripped and did some dramatic stuff but the gun rules still apply. Stay frosty my friend
Well with my hip I would have slipped tripped and fell
Nice job. I haven't had a chance to shoot this one yet but the month is young....
18 and 19 are easy, 20 is pushing it!
👊🏼🔥
Do you like that timer? Also is it loud enough to run a line of shooters with?
The AMG commander is my favorite timer hands down, I use it for dry fire and live fire. The kestrel is much better for running a class. The AMG could work but the kestrel is really loud.
@@gunpowderandpaper5567 thanks! I have the old school pocket pro version 1. Nice and loud but for just me it’s a pain in the ass to check splits
@@MagDumpGuns No problem! I still have my old pocket pro and it still runs like a champ! It was my first timer and helped me get to where I am today.
