Jaguar E-Types and MORE at a Classic Car Rally; owner interview!
I stumbled across a classic car gathering from the Mycenaean-Minoan Rally-Tour with some real heavy hitters, TR-6s, Pagodas and more.
Many of which I'd never seen in real life before, unexpectedly had a camera; what you see here is my live reaction!
Once again, special thanks to Richard for showing me around his excellent 1962 Series 1 Jaguar E-Type. I never thought I'd see one let alone sit in one!
If you have one I can drive, don't hesitate to send me an email :D... ya never know.
Enjoy the show? Buy me a kofi!

To everyone who might say "NOT BOND" well...you see, this was always intended to be a variety channel (that's where the Beyond part comes into play) about me and anything that I enjoy and can can get my teeth into, be it cinema, movie news, music, tv shows, fan-edits, whatever. I thought Baby Driver was brilliant cinema and I definitely like Initial D (maybe we will delve deeper on that...somed...
A Tribute to Roger Moore's James Bond

Rest In Peace, Roger.

Not my usual style, but this is sort of an update video (or life signs), as in this coming month I won't be able to work on anything channel-related due to certain...pressing engagements. It was an idea that I had when I rewatched "From Russia With Love", as I thought that this scene was lacking in the music department and decided to use Barry's later work to help score this scene. I was so spoilt as a child dad owned series1 Etype 4.2 Roadster the one in vid is a 3.8 Roadster then when I was 18 my father bought me a 230SL then at 23 I owned 280SL Pagoda owned a stag also last one on a T reg 1979. they are not worth much. Etype Series1 £200,000 and 280 Pagoda not not 230 or 250SL they are half price stags are silly cheap £10-£15,000

@@joemorgan636 Stags are silly cool considering that, the big surprise of the lineup, my favorite non-Jag in retrospect! One with a TR6 engine or a Rover V8 would be really cool. Pagodas have really soared in value. Quite cool selection, you and your dad had great taste👌

@@joemorgan636 Absolutely! E-Types have some issues but nothing like the Stag. E-Types also I think were poster cars and the impact they’ve had I don’t think you can put much of a price on. The only upside is they made a fair few of them at least, some say it’d be a car that’d cost millions had they made as few Ferraris of the same period they made (even if it was much more technologically advanced). I was shocked at the quality too as I mentioned in the video, I can see why people started lamenting plastics in cars, it looked beautifully constructed, that S1. I can definitely see why they’re worth that much! If for nothing else for being a great piece of rolling art and automotive history.

@@Petrospect was it you talking on Video I thought the man who owned Series1 Roadster was rude, saying to you how comes you know about these cars why shouldn’t you he is an idiot got really no time got people like that. Let me teach you something okay only downside on Jaguar Etype was exactly made slot off them build quality in 1960s was poor they use to Rust like crazy but I have to remember back in those days. The weather was horrendous in Great Britain and parts of Europe. Only Etype that’s worth serious money is Series1 either, 3.8 and 4.2 version is Fixed head Coupe or Roadster but big big money is 3.8 Flat Floor external bonnet locks. The Series 2 was okay but people weren’t mad over it but they were more affordable also Series 3 V12 same again even cheaper. But but Series 1 is the big boy and the good looker but extremely expensive

@@joemorgan636 Thank you for your comments; it was me! I'm thankful he gave me the time of day when I felt like I was being a bit of a bother but yeah nobody really expects someone as young as me to know quite so much about these cars 🤣so I took it as a term of endearment than a scathing remark. Series 1 is absolutely the best looking one! That's the one I'd have to do if I ever got one, flat floor or not! Quite tight footwell anyway. Series 2 though seems to be essentially the same car which is quite intriguing for the HUGE price difference. I've heard the Series 3 had by far the worst build quality out of the three because of the move to British Leyland that really cheapened an already frugal mindedly developed car, Sir William Lyons was supposed to be infamous about how many corners were cut. V12 sounds like a nightmare to maintain, ditto the GT focus. Especially back in the 70s cars I'd think rusted within a few years, so I can't entirely blame Jaguar on that! My grandfather had a Mk2 Escort that survived just about 3 years before disintegrating in Belgium which is astonishing to think about now.

Roger's Bond movies were outrageous fantasy films. Which is fine by me. Fleming never took Bond seriously either. In the book 'Dr.No', Bond fights a giant squid ( its not in the movie ), Dr.No dies after being buried under a ton of bird poo, and in 'The Man With The Golden Gun', Scaramanga has three nipples. That's not gritty realism and was not intended to be. The fantasy started with Connery. All Moore did was to turn up the dial.

Hiya from England. I was only a child of the 60's so i watched all the films on ITV when they bought the rights from MGM/UA around 1973/4 with Roger and Live and Let Die. I have watched Roger's stint as 'Bond' many times since on TV. He put his own 'slant' on the role which i liked as it fitted into the 1970's, so different to Sean, of course but 2 different men and styles anyway and the 60's was so much different. I also loved Roger in the series The Persuaders. With the lovely Tony Curtis. I loved watching the series for the cars, fashion, fabulous filming locations. I loved the 60's Bond films and the 70's Bond films for the same reasons Roger died in 2017 But over the last 18 months we have lost Honor, Blackman, Margaret Nolan, Peter Lamont and Sean Connery. During the Oscars ceremony in 1989 for best supporting actor which was won by Kevin Kline you had walk on stage to entertain the audience you had Sean, Michael Caine and Roger together. Such great actors and as you know back then MEN COULD SHOW OFF THEIR MASCULINTY and OH they did. Michael is the last one 'STANDING'

He was Bond to my sister and I growing up. Her favorite Bond movie with him was The Man With The Golden Gun. For me it's a four-way tie of Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy. If I had a WWE Titantron it would be For Your Eyes Only as my entrance music. Honorable mentions for me was Moonraker. Any Bond movie that brings back the secondary Bond theme "Bond Takes The Lecktor" aka "007" isn't all bad. In fact, despite the hate the fans give Moonraker it did dethrone Thunderball as the highest grossing entry in franchise history until Skyfall. Moonraker was the last time we heard it. Though Thunderball and Diamonds Are Forever had the best renditions of "007", it's long overdue to come back. Another honorable mention was A View To A Kill. Until Adele's Skyfall, Duran Duran's A View To A Kill was the first and only entry in the series to hit the number one entry on the Top 10 and a Grammy I could see many scenes in The Living Daylights, Licence To Kill and both the Brosnan and Craig Eras it could have worked in.
