Fly tying trash bin for vise with magnetic release
After watching almost every fly tying video on TH-cam, human fingers are looking like old growth redwood trees.😂. I really can't understand thread size visually, I need to feel it. I've only been tying flies for about 3 months, but Semperfl products are cutting edge! I can't wait to see what their next innovation will be. 🤔 Maybe some nano shape and color changing stuff. Ethical we have to draw a line as to what's fair. Wouldn't hunting be much more interesting if deer could shoot back?😮
Please share what hook you’re using on this pattern. 👀💖 it
Is the gray verison good for making shrimp paterns?
I bought a couple colors of this thread and hate it. That’s what made me do a search and found this video. Two wraps is probably max for whip finish, it is like sandpaper? Trying to figure out a way to use it. Just tried to use two colors wrapped over a waxed flat thread base and the color falls off the thread. If anyone has a good use for this thread, please reply.
That stuff looks incredibly coarse... Not surprised, Hareline stuff isn't the greatest. Thanks for the demo! Saved me money.
This is such a well engineered, solidly built tool that is great even for new tiers.
Those whiting capes are so sexy!
Very nice material
Always like to check out this channel and see what absurd gadgets some people seem to think they need to make a fishing fly! Sometimes I’m literally mystified, but in this case I see how it’s supposed to work. I just don’t take kindly to someone else deciding what size hackle I should be using 😡 Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks for this! I'm heading to Iceland the end of July 2022! Great video! This tying this fly is almost as messy as tying deer hair bombers! LOL!
What's the hook? A dab of head cement (aka clear finger-nail polish) and you're ready to fish! Tight lines...
Hi, the hook is Partridge G3A/L Wet Heavy Supreme #12!
Based on this video, I would not buy this product. Creates lumpy looking bodies.
Depends on how you(!) tie your fly. And the fish don't mind !!!
It really depends on how you use that, for ribbings or as a body material (as shown in the video as a simple example). If you're looking for flat even bodies, this definitely is not the right product. Or just wind a single layer to keep level shape. I would recommend checking out other softer & thinner materials (mini flat braids etc.) that are easier to tie evenly on small hooks and to create shape for the fly at the same time.
I agreee, this does not showcase something i need... it honestly looks sloppy and rather unappealing. I can think of other things to do with that but advertising it as if it is a thread is not one. Or ,at least find somebody who commands that material and makes it look easy And like i cant live without it... i love some semperfli, but you guys look like you are reaching on this one. Im not sure how it differs from some of your other products. You are welcome for unsolicited feedback! Keep it up!
Will this work in the rockies mountains
Sweet
Awesome

You got me there. What on earth is it for?
LOLOLOLOLOL it's a feather holder, so that the wind doesn't blow it away before you get a chance to wrap it on your fly. Also, it makes a great UFO shaped fly holder.
It's for folding feathers so they can be tied in as hackle on hooks to make flys for fishing.
@@RollinRollinReelinIs it for disabled people?
@@callumclark3358 no anyone
Which animal that???
It is not from an animal. It is synthetic fibre.
amazing feathers
That is actually pretty cool. As if we haven't all forgot to tie a material in at the right time, or forgotten it totally.
Adding a verbal description would be helpful.
Tehokkain Gulffin lampuista on edelleen Hero-malli 5W polttimolla.
Whats the color of Seal Dubbing, please?
That color is ginger!
