@@olsinho sounds like you’re interested in either a one to many/many to one join (pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/relationships/data-relationship-options.htm) or even a relate (pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/add-relate.htm). @@elizabethbryce4283 absolutely. Exporting to a new file (you’d give it a new name and file path in this process) is a very good way to filter, sort, and clean data.

How do i reclassify raster data in RGB?
RGB raster data is often multiple bands of rasters displayed together. You would likely need to extract the individual bands from the Raster (see: pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/analysis/raster-functions/extract-bands-function.htm) and then reclassify the single band you're interested in reclassifying. Then you could use composite bands (see: pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/composite-bands.htm) to bring them back together! Be careful though - each of those RGB bands has a specific value as it was collected that way - you should have a good reason to change them!

Hi, I am trying to assess the accuracy of a classified raster in ArcGIS Pro. To do this, arc has a function to generate random points for accuracy assessment. However, the points that are being generated are spread across my raster even beyond the extent of my clipped ROI i.e. in the NoData extent beyond my watershed. What could be the possible reasons for this and how do I avoid it? Thank you in advance!
Create Random Points needs a constraint! Without it, you will experience the issue you are having. In this video I talk about creating a constraint that is a feature class - another shapefile - the big square. So you could create a similar constraining layer. Or, you could try to use your raster as the constraining extent parameter, which you can learn more about in the tool description: pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/create-random-points.htm

Unfortunately I'm not readily able to consult like that but feel free to reach out over email for general tutorial/consulting rates. For your issue, my instinct is that you have a file of the same name already (first error), and your settings have blocked over-writing data with the same name (the second error). I was looking for this and it just appeared on my feed. I have a question tho, what if I you have multiple rows that shares the same FIPS_CNTRY code? I have administrative borders shape file and also collected some data and want to show them on the map. Some cities have multiple data. Do you think this method will just work fine as long as I have the matching columns with the shape file ?
If you have multiple rows that share the same fips (or whichever identifier) - then you need a different kind of join! Namely, a many to one join which is a different process. See here for more on the particulars of that in Arc: pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/big-data-analytics/join-features.htm Please note that the process is particular to the data and other methods might be better.
Thanks a lot! I'm doing my bachelor's thesis currently, this was helpful. I didn't have my data "symbolized" like in the video and so the classes didn't show up automatically, but clicking on "classify" allowed my to define how many classes and with which margins I wanted. (Just saying this in case anyone has the same issue). Easier than I thought!

Raster data is referenced by choosing a point for one of the corners, and counting out the spacing of the pixels by their dimensions and number. This works when all pixels are of a uniform size, be it meters or degrees. However when you change projection, they are no longer the same size, and that's why raster projections dont match up perfectly.... If they were to match them perfectly, they would have to interpolate the pixel grid and generate new pixels which are equally spaced. When you change the projection of the viewing port in the contents, the data displays right because it bends and skews pixels but saved rasters dont do that. At least this is my understanding of the issue.

I have classified NDBI into a Built-up area and non Built-up area. Over my study area there is a multiple municipality. So how can I change the raster value ie Built-up area raster value by population and each municipality has different population. Is there any way to solve this problem. One way is by clip the raster by features and reclassify. But I want whole study area.
If you wanted to incorporate some kind of population weight with your NDBI, you could use a raster population dataset like the Gridded Population of the World: sedac.ciesin.columbia.edu/data/collection/gpw-v4. Using some kind of raster calculation, you could devise a way to add in population numbers with your NDBI calculation. Good luck!
how do I clip a multidimensional raster layer? Using a clip it makes a file but does not show anything in the map.
Multidimensional rasters should work with Raster Clip the same as regular rasters! pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/clip.htm

Great explanation thank you. What if we have different landcover types and we want to know the area of each different landcover type in different cells?
Danial - great question, but complex. Zonal Statistics is probably still your tool, but you might need to change the definition of the 'zone' or 'zone field'. For example, if I wanted to know - for every different individual parcel here - the landcover area/type, I would change my 'zone field' to whichever field had an individual parcel number. Or, maybe even the object ID of the vector shapefile. You mention cells - If you have two different landcover rasters, you can use this tool too! Just make sure you clarify in your own mind which one is the 'zone' raster, and which is the 'value' raster before you run the tool.

There are few ways! From the help page: "To make a permanent join, either use the Join Field tool or use the joined layer as input to one of the following tools: Copy Features, Copy Rows, Export Features, or Export Table." Hey, is there a way of reclassifying unique values? I'm trying to combine two classes of landcover, but the output only results in one class showing. Thanks
Depends a bit on what you mean. Say you have two landcover values (1 and 2): you could reclassify them together by using the tool to turn them both to 1, or 2, or to a new value (say 3). If you have a lot of values, (say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and are just trying to condense two while keeping the rest, you could just set all the values you don't want to change to be the same value, and condense the ones you want to be the same value. Reclassify can work by just turning values into the same value!

Thanks for this video. However, the issue I have is that I have no clue what the coordinate system of the raster image I have currently is - some kind of conic projection over portions of the Northern Hemisphere. And I want to change it to a cylindrical projection to be able to fit over another image that is in the cylindrical projection.
Save a copy, and start guessing! But key to remember - until you define the projection correctly, projecting the unknown raster will do you absolutely no good. You can't take unknown and turn it into known without... knowing first. It's a riddle, but with pixels. Conic helps: here's a list to start map-projections.net/projections-list.php. Happy hunting.
@@FreelanceGeographer I know that it is a Lambert Conformal Conic projection with 2 standard latitudes of 5N and 60N. Its a map that encompasses Europe, Asia and North Africa. However none of the arctoolbox options fit those standard parallels, so not sure where to go from there. Thanks again for the reply!

Please does it mean that if I have several variables which I would like to analyse in raster format, I need to make a conversion for each of this variable using the 'feature to raster' tool? or is there a way that raster can contain more than one variable? Also what if my data has a year variable how do I analyse the raster on this basis?
Damilola, you're interested in a different file format if you have several variables all together. This is 'multidimensional' data, with the file type NetCDF. This allows for multiple dimensions (data types) within a coverage, and can include time dimensions as well. Climate data often works this way but it can apply in many data contexts and is always complex. There are conversion tools in ArcPro and elsewhere that can help you convert such data - see links below for some more details.
