Hi I’m interested in this type of pulley, but I want to be able to lock the system when the weight is up. I’m planning on using it for a heavy bag for boxing that I can easily attach and detach since I’ll be using it outside. Do you have any tips?
So since you would have to pull it twice the distance. Then I am assuming the amount of weight does not matter really in relation to that distance so essentially if I want to only have to pull, let's say about 2 feet. Then the total rope would only have to be under 2 feet. Not to mention with the compounding pulleys I'm just ordered police and I'm just gonna try to experiment. See if I can figure it out without it. You can get confusing
I am always thinking, is it possible to lift an elephant with a single finger, by utilising 1000 pullies? Today after watching this video, I am confident to say yes, but I have to pull a distance of about 1000 metre to lift up the elephant to just 1 metre height. As according to the conservation of energy, the equation can be written as: Work by Finger= Work on Elephant Finger Force x Finger distance = Elephant Weight x Elephant distance. If inputs are: Finger Force= 40N Elephant Weight= 40kN Elephants distance= 1m Then outpu will be: Finger distance= 1000m
How do I alleviate the pressure on pully one if it is connected to a weak tree to pull a big shed ? I have to pull it from the direction of the video shown due to space crunch. I have a big tree to tie on to the left if that helps
Dang it bro. I was misled. I used your system as a guide while at Home Depot but I now see the anchoring issue other commenters are mentioning. Oh well. Lesson learned! 😂
Give us an example of you lifting something using those two particular pulleys and the same configuration. My prediction is you won't be able to because your top pulley is upside down.
because the coins produce a downwards force due to gravity. thus producing a moment about the fulcrum. A moment is basically a turning force that makes objects spin about a point. In this case it is the fulcrum. (Moment=force x distance). the distance is proportional to the moment thus moment must be greater at longer lengths. so if 1 coin that weighs 1 Newton is 10cm from the fulcrum thats, 10Ncm (newton centimeter). and to make it balance the other side must have an opposing 10Ncm (10 coins at 1 centimeter). very hard to accurately explain without knowing already what a moment is and a diagram of how objects in equilibrium work but i hope it helped.
Those pulleys are not designed to be used in a 2-in-1 pulley system Really
Ty
Thank you for making this.
Also explain how it distribute the weight on 2 lines, so you can pull almost double the weight

In theory it works but in practicality there is nothing to attach the top pulley to.
Need this for my mini Halifax gibbet 😂

Men, "hell yeah"

How you supposed to suspend or hang the too pulley

Mandela
Finally the first video to explain this well
How much are they???
Okay but does this man I only do 33kg's on lat pulldowns since the label says 66
Not how that works bubbu
Why dont you use something finer like flour or talc powder and starch mixed with a small amount of something like glycerin
Alot like a crane
My only comment is that you should never "tie off" cordage directly to sharp edged hardware. Caribiner be used as transithion.
If you can't tie a knot......tie alot.
😂
Realest shi
Your top pulley is upside down. It needs to be attached to an anchor point for this sinario.
And you just connect it to Bluetooth right?
How do I design a system and size the pulleys, rope, etc , if the only info I have is the weight of the object I want to pull
Great gadget to hang the piñatas for birthday parties

and the rope is rubbing against the top pulley
I believe he was just going for modeled concept description. In that case, it doesn't matter if it's practical. Or does ittttt......?
How are you anchoring your top pulley?.. when you're using the anchor hole as a Beckett?
He was going to show us with picking up an actual weight.. but
Thanks for the instructional video! It works exactly as it is needed to do.
Excellent description of the concept and action. Thankfully without any distracting music. Thank you!
Amazing!! ✨✨
This is how the pyramids were built
Using sky hooks.
Snatch blocks!
Great cardboard skills!
its only a single by the way. the upper pulley is for angle change only, no advantage.
Nope. Just made one and the pull required is a little more than half to lift the same load. This system works as it should.
@@petecassidy1513you didnt read what i said, the pulley he holding in his hand has no advantage.
Nah you’re pulling half the weight the way he has it set up
@koda7820 the lower pulley is creating the mechanical advantage, the upper is for angle change only
He was going for proof of concept, not practicality.
Awesome. I'm on a pulley binge and I'm super happy I stumbled across this
oh man, that was so frickin crazy dood! wow! so glad I kept my eye on that yellow tag😲
well technically you explained but you didnt
Ratio + L + cope (Good video)
Thank you! Also lol 😆
I don't understand the 10 to one ratio I don't understand why the 10 coins are on the smaller part and the one coin is on the longer part.

another way to think of it is how wrenches with longer handles are easier to use as the produce a bigger moment about the bolt to twist it off.
Because physics
You could make another mold of the parts in plaster, melt out the wax and pour in aluminum. That'd be kinda cool :)
That's lit
𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐦 😍
First liker let's go
Thank you. My channel is very smol
