Undreaming Wetiko: Is Humanity Under the Spell of a Mind Virus? with Paul Levy
Paul Levy is a creative artist, a pioneer in the field of spiritual emergence, and a Tibetan Buddhist practitioner for more than 35 years. He is the founder of the Awaken in the Dream Community and the author of several books, including The Quantum Revelation and Undreaming Wetiko.
Our conversation dives into the murky depths of the so-called mind virus popularized by Indigenous author Jack Forbes, who in his book Columbus and Other Cannibals, refers to wetiko as “the sickness of exploitation.”
Paul is a gifted oracle whose description of subtle and hidden forces of wetiko illuminates how the mind virus influences our world, relationships, and inner processes. Together, we explore how our quantum reality mirrors a waking dream, and how the universe communicates through symbols. We discuss synchronicity, shadow projection, archetypal patterns, and four-valued logic or paradoxical thinking.
Paul also shares profound insights on awakening from mass hypnosis, the dangers of totalitarian psychosis, and the weaponization of technology. Plus, why critical thinking and our creative spirit is the ultimate superpower in undreaming wetiko and navigating these turbulent times.
And just a reminder before we jump into the conversation to please like, subscribe and share to help more people access the podcast.

I have never told to anybody, but im my psyhosis during I was sleeping I heard the voice waking me and telling me,,God is an idea".. i felt happy with because i had my religious crisis and the answer was perfect. You can interpretate in in 2ways....than I woke up and went outside and I saw on the sky a formation like an Orion, similar to your symbol. I have changed myself..my ego was dead..I started to meditate, red an watch everything about synchronicity. I had precognitiv dreams, vision since than. I’m so confused about my dreams because there’s someone in my life that keeps a reappearing in them, but I have no deep attachment to him. In the dreams we kind of just hang out and it’s nice but in reality we don’t really know each other. My best friend and her boyfriend are kind of playing a matchmaker where they’re trying to get me (19) and his best friend (20) together. Maybe they’re not forcefully trying to get us together, but they have arranged for us to meet two times already even though I haven’t really spoken to him yet. It was more of a four way conversation, like it wasn’t just me and him having a dialogue but anyway, he keeps reappearing in my dreams and I have no idea what the hell that means haha. Also it always feels very weirdly real

    thank you. I always get so much from listening to the old Jungians who really understood what Jung was saying, and his telos of developing personal responsibility for increasing consciousness in the world. So many modern so-called Jungians don't seem to get the deeply ethical underpinnings of Jungian work. Thank you Dr Stein for continuing to bring Jung's approach and understanding of the psyche into public awareness.

    I used to have a reoccurring dream, when I was a child, about the same man who was looking for me. I never saw his face, always just from midway down. Faded yellow button-up shirt and brown polyester pants. I was always hiding because I 'knew' he was looking for me and he was not good. Im not sure what that means, but even 30+ years later I still remember it and can still describe him, the room, and the chest I always hid behind.

    might I ask a question of you and/or your guest? I have asked numerous people this same question and have received answers as wide-ranging as one might imagine. my question, 'how might it be possible for Synchronicity and Free Will to co-exist? '. perhaps it is just me but having experienced many events concerning Synchronicity I am sorta left with the feeling that perhaps Free Will is, for the most part, illusionary.

      Great question. I address this in my essay for the Playful Universe, and in a recent podcast conversation: th-cam.com/video/5ph-a6Tl4FM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rZJPMKnHpqhBRm9w. In short, I see synchronicity as a call to engagement. Where this gets tricky is when it comes to conscious/unconscious direction and guidance. Do I have egoic free will? Does my "higher self" have free will? I sense that autonomy exists within a much more limited space than we might imagine, but we do still have the power to choose.

      I'm not entirely sure I follow, as this talk assumes a starting point of self dis-compassion, with the need to cultivate deeper layers of compassion. In my experience the majority of people lack self-compassion, but this is learned, not innate. Suggesting love and compassion as foundational traits doesn't imply it's easy to cultivate, either, quite the contrary.

    1:17:13. The Sapir-Whorf hypothesis states that these concepts not only shape how we see the world but the world shapes these concepts. So it may mean that it is a truly solo project and we but share glimpses via concepts and allusions shared across each dimension(being our selves or perspectives/Culture and social).

    21:16. I would agree. Also point to a very likely influence for Jung in Nietzsche. He explained his Ubermench, or ideal man, like a BodhiSattva: as template to aim for, but that we might not achieve(he says maybe our great great grand-kids). It is the attempt to embody that we fail, but land in our true self of Jung: Individuation. To know oneself within the whole. Ich und Du. A We and Us, that does not deny the individual as neither can be separated.

Jung is pronounced as Yoong, not Young because the letter U in German is always pronounced like OO in English. Also, your meandering questions and comments are incoherent and annoying. I really appreciate Richards insights. I'm reading his latest book now. He says there is no one perspective that can nail it down 54:24. May I offer my own understanding? Life can become complicated. Ignorance may be bliss but it leaves much on the table to experience in this life. Many believe, as a result of the modern scientific revolution, have become convinced of a grand narrative that materialistic reductionism can explain everything, which leaves us with agnostic humans that have neglected their souls. They barely believe in anything beyond the here and now. These are hollow entities that are once again manifesting in the flesh through people who either lack any vision into the eternal state of being, have been deceived by entities in the heavenly realms they are unaware of-which they have left an empty meat suit for these malevolent spirits to take up residence in. Or because of no choice of their own, circumstance has them in a terrible situation. The problem lies beyond what we can detect with our 5 senses and our reasoning mind. The root cause is in the spirit and there is a way to enter into this realm. It is through the "Thura". Greek word for doorway, or gate, or portal. And that is Jesus Christ. This is the proper way to interpret reality, in Him. This is His second coming or appearance while we have this life to live. And when you are an eyewitness to an event where you see the dead being brought back to life in this age, in this time, perspectives change. This is how God works thoughout 3 dimensional life. "They who live by believing in me shall never die. Even if they die, yet shall they live again." This is what is missing from dialogue today. I've seen it!

    • @MindThatEgo
      @MindThatEgo หลายเดือนก่อน

      I appreciate you taking the time to craft such a thorough sharing, thank you! I fully resonate with what we've lost by going all-in on the scientific revolution, and the soullessness it creates, as well as the de-sacralisation of the material or meat suit as you say. I'm on a journey and while some time ago I would've completely dismissed your perspective on Jesus, my perspective is changing. I ultimately view things archetypally and mythologically, BUT, the more I explore how those domains interact with and influence "waking" reality, the more curious I become to what happens in extreme cases. My own experiences of miraculous or impossible synchronicities or manifestations, etc, has led me to go full circle and consider if certain events in history did indeed open a portal into the archetypal domain to the degree these events were more literal than I'd previously imagined. So... ask me again in a year or two 😅🙏🏻 PS: the Wounded Healer video is coming soon on my other channel, Archetypes of Awakening. Look out for it, we include Christ's journey.

      @MindThatEgo I look forward to listening to more of your podcasts in the future. I'm writing a book of my dreams and visions I have been having since the 1987 event I experienced that is like an Apocrypha of the Hebrew seers and prophets, similar to the 1st Book of Enoch. I tend to include excerpts from the book into some of my responses. The realms of the spirits or the heavens, in which I enter into regularly in and through Jesus Christ is still present since He inagurated it with His incarnation. But apparently speaking of this is taboo or looked upon as fantasy or wishful thinking within the institutional church. Hard to open a mind and heart to a bigger perspective of Gods Kingdom when the soul is influenced by dimensionally trapped or malevolent spirits. Well, I say differently. And all people living in the current and coming age will realize to some degree or the other that this is eternal life. And we are contributing to our souls growth, maturity and tendencies in the unseen dimensions of our life.

    • @sentinaludo1489

      @MindThatEgo I also agree with you about the archetype theme. There are repeating cycles in this time/age/dimension/reality which we live in that manifest through cultures that I believe are results or consequences of what is going on in the unseen dimensions of our lives. This is the spiritual realm, or the heavens. Everybody's soul originates there whether they realize it or not, and we have the ability/opportunity to develop this soul as we see fit, because this is the free will gift from God. I believe what we are right now IS a creation and there is a higher being creator responsible for that, as limited as the human mind is to conceive of anything beyond the 4 dimensions we experience. (Time being the 4th dimension) but time is merely a guage for us to measure our days in the hopes that when "The Transition of Ages" comes,(the title of my book) every person will ascend both physically and spiritually. This is the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ written in the cannon of Scriptures. Regardless of how well it is and was communicated by other people who claim to be "teachers" of the word of God. I find many of them are trying to do good, and they do love Jesus Christ, but they are still spiritually asleep. Sincere souls, spiritual infants trying to give insight into a dimension they have only read about in a book, or learned about in a paid for academic setting. Never having had the experience nor ability to remember what happens when not bound by the 4th dimension and the 5 senses of the flesh. I believe God communicates through dreams and visions to certain people throughout all time to share a bigger perspective of reality than what most of us are able to on our own.

    Interesting turnaround at the end. I would personally say, that instead of prayer, it is a relational inquiry. You relate to reality, as reality. 'Knowing things' is in the realm of 'knowing what to do', operational realm -- which includes how to shift energies and etc. We already ARE, however.

    I came here because I have awakened in waking life and wondered about lucid dreaming being similar to it. I've never actually lucid dreamed, but I wanted to know about the mirrored 'reality' of it. SO thank you for sharing your experience. Everything is a mirror.

    Where are the people we can talk to when experiencing this? I am needing a spiritual psychiatrist or shaman, a being that understands. I’ve been diagnosed with mental illness, personality disorders and hormonal imbalance disorders and I’m aware it’s not my soul, and have moved a lot of the trauma but when I’m episode it’s my hell of Maya. I’m blissful and in grace when medicated which is fine. Does anyone have recommendations kindly.

      There are a number of organisations approaching these topics with care. As well as individual psychologists/therapists that are aware of spiritual emergency. Check out: Spiritual Emergence Network: www.spiritualemergence.org/ Spiritual Crisis Network: spiritualcrisisnetwork.uk/ ISPS-US: isps-us.org/ Certain therapies, such as IFS or Jungian analysis, may also be worth exploring.

    The “God” of the monotheists is nonexistent. Which is evident by the history of each of the 3 religions.

    I value the continued sharing in the comments section. Initially I was attempting to engage and enquire deeper, but I can't keep up with them all. I read each response, though. For deeper exploration you may want to consider a 1-on-1 session. More here: www.mindthatego.com/coaching/

    Thank you for sharing this wisdom. I hope others can see the truth. If you ever get a view from outside your cave (allegory of the cave experience). You will see how hard it is to get people with an established paradigm to see it ❤.

      So true. If you're a fan of meaningful coincidence, the verse of the Qur'an that corresponds to the episode number (51) is related to protection from the Evil Eye: "And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes when they hear the message, and they say: Indeed, he is mad. But it is not except a reminder to the worlds." Felt this to be an apt message towards the challenge facing those speaking to these truths 🙏🏻.

      @@MindThatEgo How can one criticize the stubbornness of other people belief's and take take an agnostic stance himself? I don't get it. Your experiences you describe are beautiful, meaningful, profound. But why do you need to label them "Truth"? Just why?

    • @MindThatEgo
      @MindThatEgo หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@andreasmuller5223 I'm not agnostic when it comes to God. My stance is that God can be experienced, although there are many aspects of the Great Mystery that I am agnostic toward, I certainly don't think we can know everything, but we can experience the divine. You've responded to a thread within which I'm acknowledging a generalised cynicism which often comes with superiority and condescension. I have no time for that. I do have time and patience for anyone wanting to dialogue with an open mind. This isn't a matter of belief. Belief is in the domain of concept, ideology, mental constructs. Experience is a different matter. Sure, there are delusions of experience. But you don't "believe" in the sky or in your reflection, so why do you have to "believe" in God, if that is something experienced? Truth in this context is what remains when falsehood has fallen away. What is absolutely fundamental? You can't think your way to that point of understanding, it's part of a self-enquiry practice, I suggest you try.
