Welcome to my channel. I love the outdoors, exploring, fishing, rockhounding, cutting and polishing beautiful stones and traveling all over the western US. So come along with me for some amazing adventures.
Yankee Fork Gold Dredge tour. Absolutely amazing!
This is the last remaining fully intact gold dredge in the continental USA. Feel free to pause the video and read the signage. Many very interesting facts.

I’ve seen dredges from the outside but never inside. Thanks for the tour!
Wow, where do you start. It is never ending. Nice campsite. Cool finds.
@@ShlisaShell yeah it was quite overwhelming. You could spend all summer there searching those tailings and not even cover a quarter of it. Thanks for watching
The tattle tale clock lol. Man I sure do envy you. Thanks for letting us read the signs. We read it all because this is fascinating. I wonder how much the poor mechanics got paid. Thanks for this. Cheers.
@@ShlisaShell thanks for following my summer travels. I appreciate it. Yeah, that was an amazing piece of machinery and history
Picture Jasper my favorite color
@@grandparocky thanks for watching
Looks like some nice rocks there. That green one with the whiteish swirls caught my eye for sure. :D
@@camplapidary thanks for watching
Fascinating!
Looks like you’re having fun!!!
@@user-tt5pk6lw5m yep for sure
It could be a meteorite
No, I don’t think so but I’m still not sure what it is
4:49...that looks like pet wood
@@billywhitehorn6397 it might be
So many beautiful Rocks.
Fascinating
That clear water is beautiful and so are the fish!!
@@user-tt5pk6lw5m yeah the water was crystal clear and the fishing was excellent
What a beautiful resting place! RIP Pax. 😢
Great view keep fishing 🎣 🍺you will catch nice fish

That was an awsome batch, some spectacular agates❤
@@klairesprengel9335 thanks for watching
Great video, nice fish! Maybe use a net for those poor guys I would hate to get dirt and grass in my gills ;(

That's cool that your memorial is still there ❤
@@Allison-cg5in yeah I was surprised too
I'm getting ready to work with an artist to make a malachite adorned pipe stem. What's the thinnest piece you can cut without it disentegrating?
@@jakibros malachite is very soft material and fragile so I probably wouldn’t go less than 1/8 to 1/16 of an inch at most. Thanks for watching.
Your first fish was a cutthroat, not a rainbow...lol
@@rburnett6266 yeah you’re right. I missed that. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful tribute to Pax and lovely location
Hi Rich, thanks for sharing such a beautiful moment. 🐕🦺😇
Your eyes burning from the smoke?
@@korykehoe1310 no they’re not. I’m camped at the north end of the valley. It’s not a smoky up there.
Nice lake but the forest sure could use some management regarding all the fallen trees!
Shore looks pretty muddy and mossy. Nice to see actual pine trees. California lakes looked barren.
@@ericmetzdorff8905 Hi Eric, it was a little muddy, but the whole area is volcanic rock. Thanks for watching.
Find any obsidian?
@@ericmetzdorff8905 yes I did in my previous video at Glass Mountain
Wow that was worth the hike. Beautiful lake. Thanks Rich for sharing
@@kennethbynum7839 yep, all the lakes up there beautiful. Thanks for watching.
That's gorgeous!
Love the bottom 2! Especially since they're from Idaho
@@karencole1623 yes I agree they turned out great
These are great!
@@karencole1623 thanks for watching
They are mostly very nice! The last is my favorite, but the flame one (7) intrigued me the most, due to the beautiful coloring, between the outside white bands, and the orange bands in the middle❤
@@karencole1623 yeah it’s hard to pick just one. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful! 😢 I so miss the PNW Washington wa my state for 32 years, now NY. Not the same type of beauty in the east. No "majestic" beauty in the east. Pretty stuff, some cool nature in the east, but it's about half as good as the stuff in the west
@@seasant6 I’ve never traveled back east so I’ll take your word for it. Thanks for watching
Color and clarity of water is amazing
@@user-tt5pk6lw5m Yes it was. It was packed there today with over two dozen people floating around.
Beautiful scenery Rich! Enjoy

Really unusual!
Wow that is crystal clear water! Beautiful waterfalls!
@@user-tt5pk6lw5m yeah that water was really clear and very cold too. It’s nice and refreshing.
Pure love and joy. As simple as a human and their dog spending time together. Good on ya.
