Hi Mark - Only just catching up on your recent news and WOW what news!!! Congratulations!!! No doubt you'll be having some doubts about your decision to go self-employed, but ret assured it will be okay. The last 15years of my working life was spent contracting in the IT market on short term projects, at first I had the fear of 'what if I can't get another contract' but that never happened. Why? Because hard word & determination were my calling card and building up a good reputation meant I was always in demand. I see these traits in you and so I can only see successful outcomes for you and Camversation. My advice, don't try to put too many new plans into action straight away as your time & energies will be spread across too many projects, better to delivery one project 100% successfully than five failed projects. Besides being a retired meetings and events coordinator, I also live in an area on the East Coast that is robust with beautiful landscapes, interesting cities and towns - and robust historical significance. The War of Independence was fought on the local land here…and reminders are plentiful (in all good ways). In all seriousness, your British” ancestors arrived in these parts in the late 1600’s and left broad and deep roots. Feel free to email me anytime for additional information. This is wonderful! Congratulations to Mark for taking the leap and lucky us that Camversation will continue to be an amazing resource and community for those of us who have been fortunate enough to find it. I've learned so much from the intructors and photographers on Camversation, feel like I've grown leaps and bounds in my skills in post processing, but its also always felt a little special too, like its as much about the community and sharing as the learning. Best Wishes for a long happy run at this!
