Dear Mustafa, no it can not. What actually happens when you lift fluid is that you are making vacuum in suction pipeline, and atmospheric pressure is pushing the liquid into the pump. Since atmospheric pressure converted to meters (at sea level) is 10.3m, that is theoreticaly maximum. But in practical, you have losses due to friction in the pipeline, and I would say 6 to 7m maybe maximum.

@@mustafaonurucak614 When they talk about 8 meters, they mean the location of the pump above the surface of the water in the reservoir. The hose itself can be much longer. Under the water and 10 and 20 meters, also horizontally up to 30 meters. But you need to remember that the characteristics of a centrifugal pump very much depend on the vacuum at the pump inlet. @@xavcar15 Yes, I did. I had to take the packing gland assy apart and clean it and the bolts up real good. It was so full of crud that it wasn't actually moving in when the bolts were tightened and the bolts were so crusty that they made things feel like they were getting way tighter than they actually were. The metal pacing gland splits in half and comes right out once the two bolts are off so a full tear down and clean up job takes maybe 30 minutes. On my pump, when things are tight enough to seal ( a few drips per minute while pumping oil) I can still turn the PTO shaft by hand. It's stiff but spins by hand.

@@tcmtech7515 thanks for the reply! I’ll dissemble and inspect the packing hopefully it’ll fix the issue. I have one of these pumps on a production facility and the packing has a good leak on it just wanted to get an idea of the downtime before tearing into it.

@@xavcar15 You're welcome. At worst you could end up taking it apart a second time and putting new packing rope in if the old rope is all worn out or crusty. There's a corkscrew tool that works for that but if you don't have one a large O-ring pick can do it. Once the packing gland and bolts are cleaned up it only takes a few minutes to take everything apart or put it back together.

@@tcmtech7515 upon further inspection noticed the packing was non existent 😂 I didn’t remove any packing and I put a piece of packing rope that I cut to form one seal and after some fine tuning no leaks so far 😎
