The setup for each cart is consistent between the takes:
- Technics 1200 MK2
- Xone 23 (built-in preamp which is of pretty high load capacitance of 330 pF)
- Behringer UCA222
Every cart has been setup to meet recommended manufacturer VTF which means:
- Audio-Technica VM-95ML - 2g VTF (antistaking 2)
- Audio-Technica AT-XP3 - 3g VTF (antiskating 3)
- Reloop Concorde Black - 4g VTF (antiskating 3)
- Ortofon Concorde CLUB MK2 - 3g VTF (antiskating 3)
Every cart track has been normalized to the same RMS level, so you can truly judge the sonic differences of each. This means that PERCEIVED loudness may vary, but this is intended as having a comparison based on a perceived loudness would be less credible.
