Watched a few videos on Tail Dragger.. the real deal he was RIP. My question is, have we got the lineier connection back to the roots of blues now? We all can play the blues..but with the passing of the older generation, where are the apprentices(like Tail Dragger was to HW?) peace and love .

the drummer is the only original member. the rest of the band has been dead a long time. do not know who these guys but it is not canned heat, the canned heat we all grew up listening to.

They're doing a good job. Keeping the music alive. Fito's drumming is still interesting and compelling. Bob, Alan Larry and Henry are in the heaven of rock. Guess, they would appreciate their music to live on. And don't forget to boogie! 🎉

I believe the Tail Dragger opened for Gatemouth Brown when I saw them in DC about 50 years ago. This here may have been one of his last performances. Just over a year ago. Rest & rock on Mr Jones. And thank y'all for posting such a gem!

I hope everyone understands that this isn't the same Canned Heat that played at Woodstock. No Bear or Alan Wilson.

I first saw Canned Heat in 1968 at the first Boston Tea Party location which was more like a Fillmore west type of venue. All the original musicians with Bob Hite aka the "Bear", Henry Vestine, and Massachusetts' own, "The Blind owl", Alan Wilson. Their cover of Wilburt Harrison's, "Let's Work Together" is still kick ass today! They were students of the blues, who became scholars, who became masters. Gotta love, "Turpentine Moan!"
