    What are you doing though? Adding users, updating servers, adding roles, etc... I understand you can't show specifics but we need a general idea pf the tasks that a system engineer does on a regular basis.

    I was hoping to see your daily tasks. This video should be renamed to "A Day in the life of a Narcissist". It was a video about you and nothing else. The workout was there for what reason?, watching you eat lunch was pointless, the timelapse of you sitting in front of a laptop was pointless, it should have been explaining what you are doing and how you do so. Maybe I was expecting something differently though, similarly titled videos usually do show people doing the tasks. Your video editing skills are top notch though.

      Very true but employers data is not public. Most systems engineering is in defence so you're looking at a prison term for sticking classified info on youtube.

      @@engineeringvision9507 well... lots and lots of defense stuff isn't restricted, its is often under NDA though.... so loosing your job but probably not prison. Worked on a biohazard detection system in the past, there were lots of proprietary stuff but very very little classified stuff.

      @@engineeringvision9507 I dont think you need to show that But you have to tell in a silly way, not literally Like i would eat whatever he could say that i dont understand anyways, but i would like and idea presented even if it is not entirely show off and detailed But at least and idea and whatever you say to convey it, it would work whithout having to spit in your company

      As a Systems Engineer, I can only speak for myself and not all other Systems Engineers in different industries. I work for a major defense contractor and my duties include but aren't limited to: performing system upgrades, doing sanity checks, testing new baselines and reporting bugs/defects, writing requirements and exploratory tests, updating test manuals and documentation, and sometimes writing automated acceptance and integration robot tests to verify that the code our software engineers write (for backend) meets customer and stakeholder requirements. A Chief Engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab once said: "A good systems engineering team knows the partial of everything with respect to everything." And I think that's quite true. We look at the big picture and understand how different components come together to produce the product/output that the customer requires. If a delta is introduced to the project, a systems engineering team is able to trace it from the beginning requirements stage to the final delivery stage and identify what impacts it could have on the project and to what magnitude. Systems Engineering is basically a mix of the technical/analytical side of engineering (fundamentals that you learn at university) with some project management kinds of tasks.

      @@AngelofHogwarts Hey, What curses did you take to become a systems engineer?

    • @AngelofHogwarts
      @AngelofHogwarts 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slumpswagg6757 It's a common misconception that Systems Engineers take specialized systems engineering courses to pursue this field. But that's not the case. You can get any Bachelors of Engineering degree in university and then apply for Systems Eng jobs. A lot of the nuances I earned about stakeholder & sw requirements writing, systems design thinking etc came from SE Fundamentals courses and paid training that my employer offers. :)

    • @engineeringvision9507
      @engineeringvision9507 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slumpswagg6757 Software engineering is the most similar module, but you need to do engineering as well. I would recommend EE, Aero or ME but take a project management and/or software engineering module. It depends if you are UK or US system as they operate very differently in terms of uni course structure.

    I believe the title is a bit misleading tbh. I want to know more about the job itself, other stuff like parking and eating is not something related to a systems engineering job. The video, music and edit was great. Keep it up
