Hi, someone using a VPN here, this topic hoenstly seems like a non issue? The Pokemon Company made a tweet pretty much saying "Welcome new Zealand and people using VPNS's to Pokemon Pocket!" It's almost certainly in the terms and conditions, but the situation with VPN's being used to play the game is one of those things that really TPC doesnt care much about, as well as being something so easy to do that even if it were an issue for them so many people are doing it it's not something they CAN stop. I appreciate the genuine sincerity you show in this video though, you really care about this topic, and it shows.

Here from New Zealand. Grass cards are generally underwhelming, except for Erika, so the biggest reason to play it is to counter aggro, you slot eggy since it is The cheapest tank that can resist not be one shotted, than slowly build a stage 2 on the back (venonsaur/butterfree/vileplume) to win the battle of atrition

You shouldn't look down on one cost stage one attacker aspeacially rapidash. It's not really intuitive but with the special rule being no energy but a support going first you can attack with a stage 1 when you get your fiest energy and that before your oppenent could evolve. With blaine you KO all evolving basic and people don't usually see it coming since it require two cards so they usually lose the energy they put on their basic too leaving you in a really good position. I really like the change they made for the turn one leaving the first player at an evolution and supporter advantage whereas the second is having the energy advantage

Here from New Zealand Blaine is insane, 120 dmg on your second turn, you are burning any kind of setup and putting a lot of pressure that almost any deck cannot handle in early. If you have a bad draw tho you are not comming back. The deck doesnt use magmar, it goes only ninetails/rapidash, and maybe a good basic if you down to sacrifice high roll to consistency. It is also very free to play, no EX needed, and all The cards come from The same package(charizard). The other insane card is moltress. Is a tanky card that give 1.5 energy per turn... you can run The more fast version with arcanine/certerskoch/flareon or The default charizard for come backs. Moltress is at least top5 card in The game and could be contender for 1 if it wasnt for starmie

Moltres ex seems fairly necessary for a lot of fire decks, maybe not for blaine/ninetails, but its still good in there. (also, you can stack x speeds for -2 retreat cost)

The Venu EX 3 cost attack is kinda nice so you can still get to venu and attack the same turn if you dont get an extra energy by the third turn. Not super good, but nice to have sometimes

For Pikachu ex i think Blissey ex wld be a great partner with it and glass trumpet. Additionally using powerglass to retrieve 1 energy aft each atk works too

I think double moltres ex + double centiskorch might be better than moltres + zard. Cent does 130 while only discarding 1 energy, which makes him a lot easier to sustain a sweep, and 130 hits super relevant numbers. KOs Starmie EX, Pikachu EX, and with a Giovanni, it hits 140 to KO all the legendary bird EXs who are all meta relevant. Would definitely struggle against any deck with higher HP numbers though like Mewtwo.

How many unique individual Pokemon have cards already? Like how many mons from the dex don’t have cards yet?

Ninetales/Magmar does seem legit with Blaine,for sure will be trying that out (magmar bias)

Victreebel seems really strong. It seems like people are sleeping on it right now and I barely ever see it. But when I have it’s been brutal to play against. It kind of invalidates Evo lines with 60hp or lower basics when it’s out.

There’s no mulligan - it’s coded to always give you a basic Pokemon in your starting hand. I think it means optimized decks are really incentives to have a low basic count. Plus Pokeball is one of the few item cards out there. Decks cheesing by running just two copies of a single Big basic ex is starting to emerge. Right now, it’s a little gimmicky but it’s definitely going to be a problem.

Love the idea of a type series! I plan to watch them all. I'm new to Pokémon so this is perfect!

the 2 energy basic i feel like is a big downside since if you are going second you dont get to hit it with it like most other basics who evolve. and thats currently the most prominent time that they attack or occationally when you need to finish off an EX with a switch in while low on energy.

I think that the specific supporters are too weak, they stop seeing play as soon as you don't want to use those cards. There should be more upside for playing such specific cards. I think blaine is fine but it would've been better to see plus 20 but it works on all fire types. Koga would be better if it made you discard 1 or 2 or even 3 cards ect, maybe it could depend on its stage or if it's gx and then works on any dark type. Since there's not currently anyway to move energy easily lt surge doesn't even need the limitations since you need that many turns to put energy on your Pokémon but they could've just put: move electric energy to your active Pokémon from any of you benched (max 3/2) and that would've been more future proof. I think Giovanni would feel a lot better if you draw a card or made add an item card to your hand if you knock out a Pokémon the turn you play it and it becomes a card you'd seriously consider splashing in. Even if they're good, they limit your deck options and it's a shame. The other are fine. Misty is mid I mean half the time it does nothing you might find more consistency with another card like Sabrina and it can easily get power crept by future cards that can get water energy out faster. Ill say it, handscope is garbage. Your deck is only 20 cards if you have room to fit handscope in you're running a bad deck. You dont have enough of the other cards you need. Hand information right now isnt very valuable. Same thing with pokedex, the deck is so small knowing whats comming up will help you on such fringe situations you should be running a card that can gaurentee help you right now instead. Red card is fine but lets be honest the game time is so short it doesnt really matter. I do think that it has some value as the game rewards you right now for holding onto your evolutions but if the game progress to where red card is good everyone will just play as soon as they can. I think youre undervaluing x speed a lot. Youre only looking at it from the aspect of of paying energy. Each energy is actually valued as 1 turn. So when you can retreat your pokemon for free, you can deny your opponent a prize point and retain a whole turns worth of energy. If you already have a built pokemon you can save it, without needing to spend turns refulling its energy, for a finisher as theres not many cards right now that can snipe you in the becnhed row.

This deck will only get better with more Tera support coming in the next set

Very mid set imo. Area zero is the most interesting card by far and it’s just a stadium so I didn’t really have that much fun with the set. I really have higher hopes for the next

So far we got a grass heal stall deck, a fire Aggro deck, a poison deck and a lightning combo deck. The water deck and the psychic deck are too slow/sacky to be usable.

This is a good deck, but my pet peeve is the heavily sheeped Arcanine ex deck and my opponent's flipping heads on Confusion for instant KO. The problem is that it runs Stadiums as well. So, Neutralization Zone can be shoved into the discard pile. It also can't be recovered with Rosanne's Backup. I know this deck doesn't run her, but if players wanted to tech her in, it can only recover those Jamming Towers. I had to have faced Arcanine ex/Charizard at least 3 - 4 times. I knew I was risking putting out Neutralization Zone early in the final battle I had, but it took my opponent using a Professor's Research to finally get out a Magma Basin. Near the end of the battle, he had Moltres active and I was smacking his Arcanine ex with my Munkidori. I had 2 Frolass out and 3 Venomoth in play with an Energy on each 1. It ended when I decided to KO his Moltres with Munkidori because he knew that I was way ahead in prizes and that he either had a badly Damaged Charmander, or a heavily damaged Arcanine ex. If he pushed up Arcanine, I would have hit it with Perplexing Powder, putting it 10 away from a KO and if he pushed up Charmander, I would have KO'd it with Munkidori. I almost feel like Grand Tree would be great in this deck, but Neutralization Zone is probably better. Even if you have it out, they can still attempt to attack, despite being confused. If heads, they deal no damage or if tails, they do no damage and take 3 damage counters. That also happened during that last battle. A tails on his Confused Arcanine ex. Also, this deck could use Bug Catching Set.

So, you need 6 energy to start hitting any 210+ V/Ex, it doesn't feel like a good payout 🙁

I feel like iron leaves is also not a bad addition. Wyrdeer hitd harder but to hit 180 you need 5 but with leaves you need 3. Maybe wyrdeer as the endgame attacker

The fact that the weezing wont be a card irl actually hurts my soul aha

I like the idea of a power reset with one prizers being more viable but honestly this just another attempt to get non tcg people into playing the game. I feel like they should have just made ptcgl more accessible and made a few new formats (maybe a format with exs banned or a classic format where they release every expansion again)
