DIY Farmhouse Computer Table Build {Strong And Stable}

Ryobi Circular Saw: amzn.to/43NytGt
Square Tool: amzn.to/3MJZp2U

Great! Here's a detailed description:
I built a farmhouse-style computer table, starting with a sturdy 2x4 frame to support the structure. The table's top was crafted from high-quality pine wood, providing a rustic and charming aesthetic. To secure the frame and achieve a clean finish, I used pocket holes to attach the pine wood to the 2x4 frame, ensuring stability and durability.
For a unique touch, I applied a burnt technique to the table's top surface. This method involves controlled burning of the wood to create a weathered, textured appearance while preserving the integrity of the pine. The burnt effect added character and depth to the table, enhancing its farmhouse-style appeal.
The dimensions were tailored for a computer table, providing ample space for work and accessories. The design incorporated a balance between functionality and aesthetics, making it a distinctive and practical piece for any farmhouse-themed space.
The combination of pine wood, the 2x4 frame, and the burnt finish not only created a robust and visually appealing computer table but also ensured its suitability for a farmhouse setting.

Just got the 9x8
Congratulations!
Gosh this is so impressive. I can not keep mine up to temp. It’s burried out way too hot or hardly running.
Great video, very informative!
Thank you!
Bro undo the bottom not the top and you can easily carry the whole pack out with meat. Don't undo the top when loading meat undo the bottom
Inth8nk the hole in the flap isnfor a rioe to pull it down so the water don't run back to the door area and runs foward . I think! 💭
Was this system originally from a tundra?
It wasn’t. It was off a Chevy. The measurements were pretty close.
That’s awesome I do that stuff all the time when I hear a good song. Your welcome my man!!
Downloaded this song on spotify because of you. Thanks brother. The beat is hard.
its made by sc johnson so you know you shouldnt be putting that sin on your skin😂
sand it down with 6-800 grit sand paper and then clean and spray with a can of 2k clear coat and you wont have to do it again for years.
You really shouldn't be using bug repellent for a headlight restoration, repellents often contain chemicals that can damage the headlight's plastic surface. These chemicals may cause discoloration, cloudiness, or even cracks on the headlights over time. You should only use dedicated headlight restoration kits or professional polishing products designed for this purpose to ensure the longevity and clarity of your vehicle's headlights. It's a neat trick but definitely do not continue doing this unless you want to purchase a new set of headlights down the road.
It works great for a little while, but it's not a long-term solution.
Re-apply
@@Anonymous-ed8om it will eventually melt the plastic. You can get a uv shield spray and keep your headlights new for a long time.
remember to cover it with some form of anti oxidant or clear coat like wax to stop it from fogging again
That’s amazing!
How did you get the factor tie downs off lol. Mine have liner spray in them and I can't figure out the right size torx. I think it's t40 though the instructions say t30
It’s been a while but I think I dug it out with a screw driver and knife until I could get the tool in there I can’t remember what the size was on the bolt.
@@eric_jamesthanks. I've rounded out two already.
Oh yeah that will make it challenging to get out. I wish I could think of something to help you out. I helped a buddy install his I can’t remember for sure but I think we left the factory hooks in. The j hooks still worked if I remember right.
It’s definitely a T40.
@@kiddck8 Thanks. I ended up getting it done.
I think you’re absolutely right on the workaround. And that’s exactly why I wanted to watch your video because that was my concern. But that design is the same as my EXO mountain gear pack. It’s pretty near impossible to reattach the top of the bag to the top of the frame if you have an elk quarter in it. That was my biggest concern I’m looking at purchasing this pack for my wife tomorrow every video I seen they reattach the top. In my case Elk hunting if that was what Hass to happen it would never work for me. I think your workaround is exactly how it supposed to work thank you for your time
Yeah thanks for the comment! It’s funny I was just thinking about that the other night. I’m surprised killik hasn’t came out with a video them selves explaining their thought process on that but last year I had the chance to actually test it and it worked out great by doing the “workaround ”. I will say after having the pack a few years I do still like it but it seems like it got louder what I mean is it has like a faint squeak when you walk. Also when I cinched the straps as tight as I could on my buck last year the straps loosened a little bit before it really bit down on the strap which didn’t effect me to bad but was kind of weird the straps wouldn’t stay where I tightened them too. It was late at night and I was in a hurry trying to get back to the truck so it could have been something I was doing.
loosen the bottom straps to be able to pull it back over the top. It works great doing it this way. I've packed out a couple elk now with mine and did the workaround first then figured it out the next 2 times and by loosening the bottom straps, it worked far better
Fricken minty bud
Thanks for the comment!!
Súper helpful. Thanks homie
You bet!!
Never saw anyone abuse a charcoal chimney like that 😅
I've had one for a couple of years and it has been great except for a couple of issues. The door zippers are not adequate. We have one failing on the door under the awning. The door is under a lot of tension due to the spring bar design and it has cause the zipper to fail right at the corner. A secondary issue is the design of the awning. Its very awkward and the center grommet must be tied down so it is lower than both poles so water can drain otherwise water will pool and bring down the tent.
I haven’t had any problems with a door yet. The awning on the the other hand I agree 100% with you.
There is straps on the bottom to loosen it so it can go back over the top
I'm loving the echo with nothing in it and sense the tent is so heavy made of thicker material than other tents coupled with how big it actually is I'd argue it's more of a portable tiny home more so than a tent
You could definitely make a tiny home out of it 😂
Great job, the burnt wood was a great idea! Can you post a cut sheet of dimensions?
Thank you for the comment. I really like the burnt look it turned out nice. Yeah I can do that give me some time to get it together. I’ll put it here in the comments.
Will I be allowed to ask you for one of those desks
I would love to build one for you. I’m not sure how we could ship it though. If you’re serious we can talk details and try to figure out something
I just ordered them !
Awesome I think you will enjoy them!
Thats nice, good work
Thank you!
You can NOT "season" this tent out of the box. It has been treated with some kind of waterproofing and spraying it with water only demonstrates it. The cotton fibers are not soaking in water for the effect this guy is claiming it needs. It all depends on the use of the tent. One day camping trip after a few uses, you will notice your tent doesn't seem to be as dry as when you first bought it. Being exposed to the sun is the biggest factor. Once all the water proofing from the factory wears off... make sure its bone dry and then SOAK it. Even spray they seams especially on the interior. let it settle and then in some way , dry it thoroughly..... then maybe do it again.....and DRY....then pack away! That is seasoning a tent. If you want to get crazy about waterproofing, do research on wax treating cotton canvas.
Thanks for the comment!
That was super helpful! Thank you!!!
Save yourself some time and hard work by investing in some 12 inch lag bolts with 2 inch washers . They work great as stakes
I have since done that myself. You are correct sir!
Great review man! Thanks, I was on the fence about these but you convinced me. How have they been after 2 years of use?
Hey thanks for the comment I appreciate it. I still love the headphones they have been serving me well. I really love the sound. You won’t be disappointed
Is it good for workout, gym?
I wouldn’t buy them for that the cord is very long. You’d be better off with some Bluetooth headphones. They’re good studio headphones though!
How long for 5lbs?
Thanks for the comment! I’m not sure on that because I cooked it by temperature. Making sure the center got up to 200 degrees for an easy pulled pork. Mine was around 10 lbs. took me about 10 hrs. I started mine on the smoker for the first 6 hours ranging from 225 to 250 degrees. Then finished it in the oven at 350 degrees until reaching desired temp. This Meater probe I have makes it so easy to get your cooks right. Check it out. amzn.to/3mfkJ7d
that’s very helpful Eric re finish in oven. Great job and UTube! Thanks
Your welcome and thank you! Hope yours turns out great!!
What's the load rating on the loft?
I’m not sure on that but I put my clothes up there all the time and it holds it just fine. Some of my later season clothes can get up there in weight.
Thanks for sharing. How does it do in the summer? There is another version with more windows for another $100. So just wondering if this one is hot in the summer without the extra windows.
Thanks for the comment! You may like the one with more windows. You’ll have a better opportunity to catch a breeze. The one I have does fine but I have found myself wishing I got the upgrade in the summer.
Does this tent have a whole way you can put in a wood stove? I didn’t see it in your video.
You would have to install one. There’s videos on exactly how to do it. I use the mr. Buddy Heaters that works for me. Thank you for the comment!
OK, thank you
I like it you can strap anything down on it and still have your pack or not.
Yeah that’s actually a really nice option.
Pretty neat pack. Like you say I think its made to be very versatile. Letting your son help carry some stuff in part of the pack will definitely give him a lot of pride helping out.
Thank you! I had the chance to use it for my buck. It did pretty good. I didn’t have my boy so he couldn’t help this time but he was excited! Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for the cool video!
Thank you! Happy new year.
Hi Erik! Great video. Looking to buy a Kodiak tent. More for hunting purposes in late winter. How's it hold up in low temps and do you recommend a water proof spray right away or wait a year or so? Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!
Thanks for the question! In the colder months I’ve used a mister buddy heater. When just using one heater it isn’t quite enough but when using two it will heat up good. Unless you’re thinking of using a stove then you will be great. I haven’t used any water proof. When the water hits the tent it beads up and either dries or falls off but I imagine water proof spray would be a great idea to the more protection the better. One piece of advice to not put it away wet at all make sure it’s completely dry before you do. I had issues with that. I put it away just a little to soon before it was throughly dried and this last season I had some mold problems I was very bummed out to say the least. I hope that helps with your decision you will love the tent once you get it! Merry Christmas and happy New Year’s to you as well!
For first exposure to water with a hose I'd use my hands to help the canvas soak in the water as u need the fibers to be thoroughly soaked then to dry under really good sunlight..dry to bone for fibers to really shrink, also get bucket of hot water and dawn dish soap an wash the vinyl floor, then dry an repeat few times using a towel to dry after leaving it soak on floor really helps get rid of the smell of the vinyl
Love mine had it for years
That’s awesome!
I season with salt and pepper, then roast over a hot fire til well done
Nice! 🥩🥩🥩 🧂 😂
@@eric_james my bad, thought I was commenting on a cooking chanel

Nice video. People complain about water pooling on the canopy. All you have to do is place the poles at an angle to shed water away from the door. A tent peg bent at a 45 degree angle to keep the pole in place. Nice review!
Thank you buddy I appreciate it. Thanks for the comment!
I have had the 10x10 flex bow from Kodiak and it has been through a few torrential downpours in Minnesota and South Dakota, it never leaked, not even without 'seasoning' it the first time. It has also held up to some pretty severe winds with zero issues. Easy to setup solo, quality durable materials and inexpensive, comparably speaking. Competitive edge online is an authorized dealer and sells them $50-$100 cheaper than Kodiak too.
That are a great tent for sure thanks for sharing your experience!
they absolutely do leak if you don't treat them first, and then make sure the poles don't shred the canvas..... super frustrating if you screw it up. the water beads off except at the seams, where the water sits and soaks through until its seasoned after it gets wet, then dries out after 5 hours. was a tropical storm / monsoon in a rainforest. yes they leak if they aren't treated. :( then if they aren't fully dry, they develop soft spots, and then if you don't re-treat them with the right silicone, they leak again.
Thanks for the info! Also thanks for commenting!
That “work around” makes so much sense. Your video helped me make my choice about 10 months ago. Thank you for creating this. I real wanted to not like this bag, but it is very comfortable. Not a quiet bag. But I haven’t mastered walking quietly myself, so
Thanks man. The bag has been great for me still. I do agree it’s not the most quiet I wish I realized that when I did the review but the versatility of it still makes it a great pack. Hopefully killik addresses the noise problem in their future packs.
☹️ 『p』『r』『o』『m』『o』『s』『m』
Just sold my 10 X 10 Flexbow. The walls are too angular and the weight is too much for our needs. If you put a queen sized mattress in it, the walls are so steep you are bumping into the walls when you walk around the mattress. If they put the doors on the straight vertical sides it would of worked better.
You do have a point. I think their cabin tents the walls are more straight up and down but still have the heavy problem.
Indeed it's awesome, the problem is that they don't ship it in Europe!!!! I guess their not interested in that market!
That’s a bummer. They really should!
@@eric_james rest assure my friend, I will find a way to get it ! 😉
Haha, i believe you on that!!
During a storm, I would drop the awning and lash it down to prevent it from flapping around in the higher winds.....
That’s a good tip! Thanks for the comment!
