LOTR Moria scene but with the Knight Bus music
It kinda speaks for itself.
No copyright infringement intended. I don't own the video or music.
The point here is educational, especially for my students in Music Theory and Theology of Worship: when music is paired with film (or with any other medium), it obviously exerts an enormous influence on the mood of the scene. Changing the music changes the meaning of the film it accompanies. When silly music is paired with a serious scene, it's the *music* that will overpower the visuals rather than vice versa. (Similarly, if ominous music accompanies a light-hearted scene, the overall mood will be unsettling.)

Written by Martin Luther (1483-1546) and translated by Catherine Winkworth (1827-1878), this carol begins with the angelic proclamation of Christ's birth and ends with a worshipful human response inviting Jesus to abide within the "quiet chamber" of the heart. In this new setting, verses selected from the original text alternate with the refrain "Gloria, the Christ is born." Music composed and ...

"Memorabilia" is a collection of some of my early digitally-realized compositions. In 2006 and 2007 (the end of high school), I was beginning to grapple eagerly but not too skillfully with counterpoint and harmony, with little compositional process other than simply plunging headfirst into whichever sonic thorn bush seemed appealing. As a result, these are mostly awful, but one or two of them h...

Love this song I listen to it often
What a beautiful arrangement/tune for a hymn whose words I've always cherished. Thank you, Mr. Bauder!
Beautiful song comforting words
I went to visit my mother in the hospital today, and this piece was a comfort to my soul as I listened to it on repeat multiple times.
It also minister to my soul I play it on repeat, such a reminder that God is in control
Wow! I thought I knew what beautiful church music was…I feel I’ve missed so much that is more glorious than that of I knew. 😮
2024- Amen 🙏✝️📖❤️
where can I find the score to download?
Beautifully written and composed, giving glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God bless you.
The Irish are getting this feeling now. God save the Irish.
Beautiful and peaceful. Words: Jonathan Landry Cruse, 2022 Music: Josh Bauder, 2022 🙏 🎹🎶
Am always looking for new Christmas carols for our church family. Think I may have found a new one for us to learn! Thanks Josh!
Reminds me of the Sleepy Hollow!!!
A welcome surprise! I first heard the piece during Sir Roger’s ‘of beauty and consolation’ interviews with Wim Kayzer and have since wished to hear it in its entirety (without success). Echoing the comments above, many thanks indeed for the upload.
In my seminars on hymnody, I prove this point by having people sing "O Sacred Head" to the tune of "Lead on O King Eternal." I usually get laughs. One time I was told it's not just bad, it's blasphemous.
Ah yes, the high quality, serious content I am used to from Mr. Bauder
you mean Dr. Bauder
🤣
So jazzy.
This is pretty good, but the original music is my favorite part about this scene.
Now do the bus scene with the Moria soundtrack!
Shows why we should be thankful for skilled sound designers. It subconsciously changes a movie tremendously
This should not work as well as it kind of does. 😂
this is absolutely incredible
Amazing
hey, sorry to bother... but could I get the score? I'm in love with the piece and I'd like to learn it for my friend
Unfortunately (but rightly) I don't have authorization to distribute the score, although I doubt anyone would object. Let me check with the relevant authorities. =)
@@joshbauder thank you so much Josh :) I understand that the author rights are a big deal and also try to find legal sources as much possible, but yeah... this is not something easily to be found haha
Luther's understanding of Christ coming down the ladder to earth. We cannot climb up to heaven by our works. It is all gift as one professor taught his students--all gift.
❤️
Finally!!!! I was waiting this for literally years! Thank you!! Btw his songwriting style sounds like Debussy and Erik satie styles together...
It's so mature and so unusual. The man had obviously learned (not just studied, not just listened to, but *learned*) sophisticated piano post-Impressionist repertoire. The notation alone shows he's no amateur.
It only sounds like Debussy because there are quotations of Girl With The Flaxen Hair

Beautiful
Absolutely beautiful, thank you! ❤
Absolutely beautiful! Can your sheet music be purchased? I go to Bible Baptist in East Bethel, where your dad preaches….you have a wonderful family.
This is a beautiful interpretation of the hymn. Thanks for sharing!
Very peaceful and calming.
Thank you! Such a beautiful expression of worship to our marvelous Savior & King. Gary & Michelle
The Rusev family of ROPC in Arizona is so grateful for this new hymn. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Very worshipful. Thank you for using your gift for Christ. He is glorified!
Great job Josh!
I feel like I've heard this before
Wonderful, thank you very much for sharing!!!!! God bless you!!! 😊❤️🙏🏻

My God!
Such a beautiful song
Beautiful. 🙂. When we give everything over to God and trust in his plan for us, life becomes a purposeful experience. With God in our heart we can forge a life that will leave a mark for future generations to come, leaving our imprint on our Earth before we venture into the Cosmos with God.
