Various adventures, mostly in wild places, and mostly involving a bit of running and lots of shuffling.

Amazing video, thanks,.helps a lot! If I could offer one critique, man, the music in some places was super extraordinarily loud
The best spine race video (and ultra video)- no hype, fantastic music and atmospheric filming and friendship and support along the route. Superb and well done!!!!
Amazing video & what an achievement 💪❤ did you do all most of the route?
Thank you so much for sharing this video on here. What a beautiful summary of your journey, that was such epic adventure, the sunrise in the Cheviots and you guys crossing the finish line moved me to tears. Taking part in the Winter Spine is one of my long-term ultra goals and your journey has really inspired me to work towards it.
Thanks Bianca maybe see you in Edale some time!
Vraiment top la video. Merci !
Great video, it shows the route very well. Out of curiosity, what backpack were you using? G
Many thanks! It’s an Osprey Talon 33 - big but very light pack. Some folk have smaller packs but personally I dislike the “can I cram all this in” game at 3am in the rain! My blogs are on the link below - although still working on the feature length Full Spine creation but many similar Spine tips here: ultracrazyrunning.blogspot.com/2019/01/?m=1
Can't imagine how you filmed in those conditions but glad you did, its a brilliant insight. Congratulations on your achievement
Impressive effort there, I hope to attempt it next year. A mutual friend, Steve J, sent me the link
Hi Colin! Most people only have one ultra-nutter friend. Steve has two then! Message me via FB if you want to compare notes, I'm linked to Steve.
Brilliant well done, great little film, many thanks.
What a lovely inspiration video. The music was a perfect accompaniment to the footage. Well done on your lifetime achievement. Great dot watching.
Probably one of the best Spine recaps i've seen. Thank you for sharing. I cannot imaging what you went through on the Cheviots. You made it. Absolutely awesome. Well done
Beautiful video and well done on finishing this beast 💚
I chanced upon your video as my obsession for one day doing the Spine is starting to grow-what a fantastic, very honest look at this insane challenge, thank you. I may have shed a little tear at the end!!
Thank you Steph, its been an amazing journey!
Glad the Creme Egg at Hut 1 helped 😜 They worked wonders for me over the last few days. Great video. After Hawes I mainly moved at night (5/6pm to 10am or so) so it was great to see what views I had missed. I had the same thoughts about Cauldron Snout - I hit it at night and didn't enjoy the route I chose (similar to yours) never having been up there before.
Graham eggs going on my winter kit list as infinitely more palatable than gels! Thanks again and good luck with the future adventures including that little boat trip....
awesome! great footage. I love that you went up the cheviot! If and when I do this, I wont be doing that. having done it twice already lols!
Good luck with the plans, was first time up Cheviot for me!
@@UltraCrazyRunningAdventures aww thanks! hoping for challenger south to kick off the journey!
Absolutely beautiful, the bits in church & dawn over the Cheviots made my eyes water 👏👏👏
Thank you, it was beautiful
Great stuff. I'm so moved and amazed at what goes on in this country while I sleep in my warm safe bed. Thanks for sharing.💚
Glad you enjoyed it Gordon
You little summit baggers!!!! Goosebumps!!
Well done chaps. Thank you for looking after each other - great to see you all inside of CP5.5 Byrness (it was mince and tatties!!)
and thank you for looking after us! :-)
Fantastic and massive well done, the last 5 mins of this video are amazing in the Cheviots, made me very emotional 😢
Thank you Darren
I assume this was when the race was run in February??!! I’m running it next week hopefully (slight injury) and am hoping it’ll be somewhat less muddy!
Yes John, it was Feb! And a wet one. I'm also hoping the path is drier at the moment as A100 this weekend :-)
@@UltraCrazyRunningAdventures Awesome!!! Good luck with the A100. It’s on my list as a possible for next year….. Want to do a hundred next year but need another 50 mile or three under my belt first! 🤣🤣 Got Thames Trot next week, then something in March. Then who knows after that!
God, I remember that race well. Dreadful weather. Worst I've competed in!
Well done! Those sociable lampposts were funny 😄👍🏻🏃♂️
Well done! Glad the flags stopped you going into Hen Hole. Amazing achievement running the challenger north - watched you come past at Hut2 (sst6)
Thank you for being there - Hut 2 such a great place to get to!
Ps I got loads of autographs😁
Well done. Your all winners in my eyes. The only difference is some winners are faster than others. I helped a lot more people too with food and cuppas👍 I look forward to the next one. I will be more prepared with lots more barby food.
Stu thanks again you were a star!
@@UltraCrazyRunningAdventures only doing what I feel is the right thing to do. Glad you managed to complete it. I only wish I could upload the videos from the two races. When I do you will be on there.
@@UltraCrazyRunningAdventures get round for a barby and a stay sometime when your not racing.👍
Hello and cheers👊👍❤💛💚🍺
Well done on your completion. I was a volunteer at Alston. I'm in awe of you all.
Do you live there? I'm spina Rasta😂
A great vlog. Well done on completing the first running of the Challenger North (Darren - SST HQ)
Thanks Darren and thanks to you and all the team
Beauiful movie, sweet memories...
I am so sick of the ukulele thing...but thanks for posting.
Loved this, the official video shows how the best can run it, this shows how the rest of us manage it, proud to be part of this year's LIAD
CP 1.75 The PYG cafe?
Of course! :-)
What an aweful day. I was dot watching the event. Respect to all who started. If you finished well done.
This is amazing. Where is this?
I’ve added your video to my blog at the following link andrewkirk8.wixsite.com/goinglong
Nice film. Quality soundtrack. I dropped out at checkpoint 3 because of the mud. I’d gone to run and there was very little running being done so knocked it on the head. I’m about to publish my blog about the experience, would you mind if I put your video in the blog?
Hi Andrew, thanks for asking, yes of course. Feel free to publish your blog link, mine is half-drafted but I stopped as too depressing :-)
Jonathan Ing Thanks. It was a somewhat depressing experience. I ended up using trains to get to the end to pick up my bag. When I got there the top 5 finishers were getting changed and all said it was one of the toughest flat courses they’d ever done. I’m moving my blog to a website rather than a blogger site in the hope of getting some more interest. Hopefully I’ll publish this evening and will drop a link to your channel on the site.
