hi
loved the movie. After watching this I understand why it felt so realistic. So deep , so humbling
I’ve done this 3x and I would do it again got I hope not. T.
Saw the movie, Taking Chance, based on this story. Great film. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for your service Semper Fidelis
I am not getting credit for my life or service because of the Veterans Administration altering records and trashing my social media accounts with UN and NATO and CIA.
In the movie he was pfc chance

Wyoming Strong! Rest in peace Chance, we still remember.
I never had the pleasure of serving with Chance, because the Corps saw fit to make me a P.O.G. However, I did have the honor and the privilege of being the bunk right next to his in bootcamp in 2nd Bn, Fox Co., Platoon 2008, in the summer of 2003. Chance and I found every opportunity to put his practical joke skills to great use. Here it is, 19 years after his death, and I still feel like I've been gut punched on April 9th. I miss you everyday, brother! Til Valhalla! Keep the streets secure in Heaven, buddy. Semper Fi!
All gave some. Some gave all. Stephen Walter Marine
My Grandfather was a radio operator during Normandy. He was also a firefighter who won a heroism award for bravery when he rescued 3 people from a burning house while he was off duty. I never knew him as he died before he was born. He died at age 57. The same age I am today.
Thank you all for your services.
When I first read the journal of colonel Strobl I was reading through a web site about a ship I was stationed on in the early seventies. The USS Tulare LKA 212. A marine and cargo transport (Amphib Fleet). The only other military journal that has given me that much emotion was reading the journal of Dr. Haynes. The medical officer and survivor of the USS Indianapolis after delivering the bombs that ended WW II. I was torpedoed and sunk in shark infested waters.
Wyoming is the least populated state in America 🇺🇸... yet produce so many US Marines.
Wow, seems the movie was really close to what took place.
From myself and the rest of us who have passed through and currently represent the 1st Marine Division, it’s an honor to have walked in your boots. I still haven’t met a Marine personally who could fill em. Rest easy brother. Til Valhalla ⛩️ -A friend of the Fighting Fifth
I know this is WAY too late. I just had the exact same issue with mine. It was the duel stepper motor. I replaced it and this issue went away. Sorry this is a necro-post but I spent a lot of time troubleshooting this issue.
Yeah it was the Y axis stepper motor. It was damaged in shipping.
My Y stepper motor just gave out and it's funny the TH-cam algorithm gave me this video as I wait for a replacement to come in
Bush's big lie of weapons of "Mass Destruction" Bush is a RINO.
Have you gotten to use yours much without issue ever? I think I like my 5 plus less than any other off brand printer I've ever had including a monoprice that died on me
Mine is currently down again, hot end issues that I caused. My monoprice maker select v2 is a couple of years older and has had way less issues. The customer service was way better too
Thank you great patriots for my freedom!! Thank Yu!
Make sure your frame is tight. Sounds like a faulty bolt or something rattling
Thank you! Actually it ended up being a damaged stepper motor, I got it replaced and it's printing great now.
The 4th of July weekend is coming... good movie to watch on our nations birthday.
I'm sorry for your loss. God bless this Hero. Journey on to Valhalla, Brave Warrior.
I was Navy, did a temp duty in MCAS N River. Every week I saw at least 7 new names of fallen Marines..averaging from 18 to 32 years old..it was hard to process...to me some were just kids..I joined late
LTC Strobl: "They could've gone to see their own family. Instead they came here." Marines: "Chance is our family."
PFC Phelps, RIP brother, you gave the ultimate sacrifice and as a fellow soldier, you earned my respect in so many ways. May you be in the presence of our Lord and savior.😢
@boborsini433, Chance was promoted to Lance Corporal after his death.

I have shown this movie to my US History students for Veteran's Day or Memorial Day. I have seen this movie multiple times and it still strikes and emotional nerve in me every time. Thank you for your service Veterans
Thanks so much sharing with them! I'm glad that he'll live on in more people's memory!
Semper Fi chance
Poor usa ! Biden how ? God bless poor chance
I grew up in Dubois and had been gone a long time. Had the honor of running the "Run 4 Chance 5K" in 2016. Rest in peace, Chance Former Naval aviator
Rare to see a LTC. all choked up like that, shows the brotherhood of the marines and all servicemen.
I think I have watched this film a hundred times. It is true to Mike's story. Kevin Bacon did a tremendous job of portraying Mike and the screenwriter stuck to the script. I will always shed tears for our brave men and women in uniform who have lost their lives.
Cannot believe that 17 people gave this a thumbs down. Those 17 are a disgrace to Americans.
They are probably liberal Americans who hate this country. Love my brother
He died for them and that right as well.
Omg.....R.I.P Chance and I know this is too late but I guess late better than not at all....🙏🙏 May your family be at peace....and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE 💯🇺🇲👍🤝 I am from Riverton Wyoming and I remember when they brought him home and that was the saddest day I will always remember. I had a friend that was a U.S.M.C and I lost her but in a car accident on the Camp Pendleton..U S.M.C Base. The reason I'm writing this today is because I seen this movie on an ad. I was told about this movie"Taking Chance" and I started to watch it but couldn't watch more cuz this war hero is from my hometown and I cried. I'm so proud of him for taking his life to save his brothers in arms. I solute him as well as the Lt.
The Lt Colonel who brought him home 💯🇺🇲👍🤝
Chance deserves MOH I will lobby my best
Thank you for your service Chance Phelps. You were a hero..I think he should of been in the movie. No Hollywood star. Real soldiers. I just watched the movie and man
Good reporting.
Thank you
Semper Fi my friend!

Amazing Story......and Real!! This is what Honor look's like and what Memorial Day is ALL about!! God Bless are Armed Forces and their Families! 🦅🌎⚓🇺🇸 Lance Corporal Chance Phelps (USMC) was just nineteen years old when he was killed during active duty. Now, as Lance Corporal Phelps is prepared for his final journey back home, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Strobl (USMC) makes it his personal mission to ensure that his fallen brother is laid to rest with the proper respect.😥🙏😔💪
This story will never get old or sadder, Salute Marine
"If there were more people like Chance Phelps, there would be no need for the Marine Corps."
