Sound on for cute lil cronches! 🦇🪱
This big brown bat was brought in to Think Wild after a community member found them being attacked by a scrub jay. Upon intake, staff found some wounds and bruising, but no fractures or major injuries. We'll continue feeding the bat mealworms and other invertebrates until they are fully self-feeding and injuries have resolved.
Bats can eat around 1200 insects an hour, making them excellent neighbors! You can support local bat colonies by avoiding insecticides and installing bat boxes on your property. Think Wild can even come install a bat box for you!
