That is one way to look at things. It would be easier to start probably but down the line a vendor would regret it. The Vendor license is just another $30 lifetime, but if you sell for about $100 each month you would regret after a few months that there is a 10 to 20% commission. We released the LP Colorizer V3 (late december 2023) so it has been about 5 months, and one Vendor has breached the $1000 income on the store already. So he would already have paid $200 in commission and it would keep going. Also commission is one more transaction fee, and theme prices top at $10 so loosing $2 in transaction fee is kinda sad. All in all it is hard to judge what is better for the majority at this time. Thanks for sharing your candid opinion! :)

The peaks of the channel strips meters? When you select the meter, in the color editor top menu select gradient level 4 and then modify the color

Yes, I would like to see that feature as well but i assume that's hard or impossible , otherwise would be since long time implemented.

The reality is that we definitely can. But there are so many things that can be done...lots of work, many updates for the V3 to be expected

It is because you are not using the minimum supported version which is 10.5 up to latest logic pro version.

With the current demo you can edit you theme visually but indeed you cannot apply the changes to logic. We are thinking about another potential way for user to test for a limited time with colours applied to Logic.

@@anjikyuzan Ok, so you see me pretty (sorry for that) pissed, cause I just spent about half an hour or more, just to download and find this out. Even did the option shown in this video, but nothing changed! Thanks for my wasted time, this should be clearly stated on your site, before you download such a file, just for nothing. To see your themes I can look at the pics on your site, no need to download and spend anymore time.

User in demo can see what he can change via the application and how to go about it, which is important. Now it may not remain that way, but that was the quickest way for us to release the application. I get your point that you were not aware of the current demo limitation. @@AcysLounge

@@anjikyuzan Yeah, in most videos and infos I found it was mentioned that you can try one default or user default theme for free, ........ and that´s been what I expected.

In the region, no, not at this time. But the team will be looking into it.

No this is a matter of Logic limitation, it works with HSB colors in the palette and only the Hue values can be adjusted for each color the remaining saturation and brightness impact all the palette color and there is no other way to do it for now.

What error are you getting when trying to register?

Sorry that you feel that way. We are working on the app consistently to maintain it, it would be hard to keep it alive if any cheeper. But we do mean to improve it, little by little. thank you for your understanding. What is the dipper tool by the way?

Also when I sample a color from an element on existing theme to find out what that element is actually called, it picks completely different thing. Do you do refunds?

@@synthesaurus ah the Eye Dropper, problem with eye dropper is that the result will fluctuate depending on your screen color profile. Color profile setting is accessible from your System setting > display. But there is no real reference, depending on your OS it won't be the same. So the eye dropper works but won't be the exact exact match accross apps and we use the macOS eye dropper from the palette not soemthing we coded ourselves

Possibly the installation of the colonizer helper bundle failed when you installed the app. Could you please go to your Logic Pro.app and right click to show package content. Then navigate to /Contents/PlugIns/MIDI Device Plug-ins and search for LPXColorizerHelper in this folder. If it is missing, please go to the LPXColorizer.app located in the application folder again right click to show package contents and navigate to /Contents/Frameworks, then copy the LPXColorizerHelper.bundle file into Logic's Midi Device Plug-ins folder. Now you can restart logic and the mixer colours should come up.

@@matteobirsa The mixer individual colors only work with the License version yes. My answer was in case you had an issue with the paid version of the app. glad to know it works

Have you deleted the application support folder in the past? Please check if you see a folder with your Logic Pro version here: ~/Application Support/LPXColorizer/LPX If not please reach out to us via email and we will provide you with the proper Default Backup folder for your Logic version.

@@creationauts1576 @Creationauts Yes I have that folder in Users/Library/Application Support/LPXColorizer/LPX I have a folder for both version 10.5.1 and 10.4.4 which are the two versions of logic I have installed (10.4 for compatibility reasons).

When you import a Skin you import a folder, when you import a Theme you import an lpxt file. Keep in mind Skins are heavy about 500Mb, it always best to stick to Themes if you plan on having multiple styling versions for Logic because they are ten thousand time lighter (50kb). If you import a Skin the folder must be containing resources files like images and property files like MAResourcesMapping.plist

@@anjikyuzan No - that doesn't work. The default is absolutely nothing like the default that I used to have. It seems that if I want to go back to Logic's default, I will need to uninstal both Colouriser and Logic and reinstall Logic. Hmmmmmm………

@@Eduaro2U it seems you backup (default) is corrupted, if you email Creationauts they will be able to provide you with the backup folder so you can get you default UI back to normal and still use Colorizer

No, changing colors values affect a whole column, and brightness, saturation work across rows these are logic limitations.

Select the default theme, Colorize, then trash the LPXColorizer.app if you wish to uninstall the app

@@Meekismwisdom Oh I see, you should, by all means, revert to the Default Theme before trashing the app. However, in such a situation you can still retrieve Logic's default look by copying the resource folder from ~/Library/Application Support/LPXColorizer/LPX/YourLogicVersion and copy/replace the content of both directories into your app bundle /Applications/Logic Pro X.app/Contents/Frameworks/MAResources.framework/Versions/A/Resources

Hi, while V2.0 brings new themes the use and features remain similar to the 1st version, so the content of the tutorials would be the same. It could maybe be explained better if that is what you mean? There are also some other videos about this application on TH-cam, did you check them?

@@foxproduction4554 This part of the video explain how the interface element are sorted and changes the window project title background as an example :th-cam.com/video/YxGPZ1LtHto/w-d-xo.html I agree that we could have given more examples. However there are hundreds of elements and its impossible to go through each of them in a tutorial video. To create a theme: click the gear cog button and select "New Theme", this will look like Logic's default look and you can start making changes from there. Or you can duplicate any theme and start from there as well if it's closer to what you are trying to achieve.

Well, you could use the Import Skin function from the top menu File > Import Skin. However you cannot change the mixer buttons style in Logic Pro 10.5, you can change the color only. so your own theme will not look exactly the same. LPXColorizer is only meant to change colors.

@@jaythansparksmusic It seems that no one is listening. Or at least - no one who really knows the answer to your totally valid question. In fact, in the day that I have now owned this app, it seems that it's quite buggy.

@@Eduaro2U very buggy… I just uninstalled it, deleted preferences and called it a 50 bucks education… or whatever I paid for it…lol

@@jaythansparksmusic I have been considering doing similar. Not only is it full of the strangest bugs - but no-one seems to want to accept responsibility and rectify the situation. Shame really as the concept is good - just the implementation is so bad!

@@Eduaro2U It is a very good concept and I think it will work well once they release a better 'un-beta' version. They need to also consider the future of LPX and it's users. Unfortunely, many developers have the same work ethic... Just put stuff out without support and get the fast money... That position is so unfair to a lot of individuals who put faith in their products and workmanship... Yes, it's unfair, but what can we really do but complain unless we encounter another situation similar. The saving grace is that there are many companies out there who really place integrity first...
