"Her" is a single from my upcoming EP called "This is Us"
'HER' is a song with multi-sided meanings.
Just as one may articulate 'HER' as the english singular pronoun; "her" is ideally one of the aspects given to the chosen title.
'HER' not only speaks about self-focus and refrain from being blind followers to others but mainly about how it is important and vital to come as one and support each other.
The word 'Her' in Khasi/Pnar simply means "fly" or "flying" which both have senses as a verb and a noun. Titular to the word, it explains itself. How "fly" emulates sentiments of passion and ardour of freedom and free will, that one is entitled to possess.
Like most of my personal songs, the message behind the lines is that we are all given a chance to experience and mature from the many hardships that life presents itself in forms that aren't all that pleasing however the eternal fire within us, keeps on pushing, never allowing us to fallback or stop us. Collectively it sums up to how appealing what we individuals can do and how even more profound and engaging it would be if each one were to unify altogether, just as God intended to never neglect gathering together as it is what makes us stronger.
Henry Ford once said, "Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.
