I've combined my love of photography, art, nature and music to make some videos (Windows Live Movie Maker). My photography appears in a few but most images are sourced from the internet. I enjoy making these videos, and I hope you'll like them, too.
My primary interest is classical and pop music. I love the piano, athough I only play in a limited capacity due to substantial issues with my fingers and wrists (see 'My Piano Playing'). I've tried many instruments--harp, violin, cello, flute, trumpet, clarinet, guitar, and horn (in high school) and have a couple Royal Conservatory of Music certificates (piano and theory).
My favourite composers are Chopin, Rachmaninov, Debussy, Beethoven, Schumann, Haydn, Bach,Tchaikovsky, and Saint-Saens. ♫

Conducted by Sir Georg Solti and performed by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This sandpiper has missed its migration likely as a result of illness or injury, and will not survive much longer. I was lucky enough to see its beauty for a few fleeting moments as it looked for food at the edge of the water.

This romantic, Chopin-like piece was composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov in the mid-1870's. I recorded this music on a Steinway - my first time playing a Steinway. It was wonderful! Poem (Piano Solo) - Zdênek Fibich (1850 - 1900)

Zdeněk Fibich was a Czech composer of classical music. I found this pretty piece of music in one of my piano books. It is the C major version; there is a more difficult one in D-flat major. It was recorded on a Roland digital piano, but I will probably re-record it on a proper piano in the near future. The dynamics aren't the greatest in this version - the next posting will be better!

This is the first part of the gorgeous second movement of Maurice Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major. Obviously, it is played without an orchestra! Please scroll down for more information. Peter Gabriel is a man, a wonderful musician who has participated in numerous acts of tribute to people and issues of relevance to the world. Who better to sing in this great historical moment "Heroes" a great Bowie song that is almost an anthem!
