I had my son may. Life didn’t suit him by autumn 😢 I’m a singer all the way and I sing through my tears, I’m surprised by how powerful I can still be. I left my childhood to be a mother and now I’m nothing. I only recently came back to les Misérables but god this song hits so so sooo hard.

I remember singing this for a college talent show and I bombed it. I was only 22 years old at the time and I didn't know a damn thing about this character's pain. Now (30 years later) i'm 52 and though I don't have the pipes I had at 22, I know exactly the pain of this character. Isn't that ironic?

I love singing to musicals but this is the only song I can't get past without crying. I've seen the play and they were fine, but when I read the book, it was so hard. Oh, poor Fantine deserve so much better.

I'm so grateful this song this song is pretty low compared to other musical theater songs. It's the only female song I can sing in a chest voice.

I've noticed my voice only works for musicals 🤣 I sang this quite well without warning up but without stretching my vocals. Even the high notes. Yet if I tried the same notes with a non musical song i could never 🤣

How can love make you happy leaving your heart behind for a world you will never have that you wanted to be wonderful and enter in paradise with I never want to love again it's a heart break I learnt so hard its built barriers and I cant break them down it will haunt me forever to have loved some one who couldnt respect me in the same way I felt
