It's actually just as the title says. You either never understand anything or are limited to understanding when you're young, but just as you understand more about reality as you grow up, things start to feel different and hit in ways that you never resonated with prior. It's such a beautiful, yet tragic thing. Because you know you can never go back, but you also know that the world looks newer than it was before.

I know the ice age movies are goofy and all, but John Powell's music especially in Ice Age 2 is really amazing

When I failed an year, was in immense stress and pressure because of my parents expectations.. Almost all of my friends left me and the only ones that were left, I distanced myself with them, eventually I distanced myself with everyone and I would refuse to talk even. This is the time when I discovered this movie and for the first time I let out all my emotions, crying, sobbing. I realised that it wasn't others that were looking down on me.. It was me, I was the one putting myself down. Sorry for the rant ah-

the shot of her standing on the ledge as the fireworks explode in the background always gives me chills. you can just feel your stomach drop the moment you realize what's happening. a great movie. helped me feel less alone

This is one of the very, very few anime things i watch a ton. Even though I haven't ACTUALLY seen it. T^T

This movie inspired me to do it. Only a couple months left now.

I love this film, I really do. I watched it the first time when I was 13, and still today it makes me cry. I often feel alone and I just crave so much affection that now I feel empty without it. I've never found someone that would be up to comfort me and it makes me feel like I'm useless. Watching this makes me remember that I really am nothhing because there are a lot of other people that could be my improved version and seeing how shoya feels made me realised I'm not alone in the suffering. Everyday I try so hard to smile and shrug it all off, but lately I can't do it anymore. I know I'm reaching my limits and I know one day I'll try something stupid to feel free. I don't think I can go on like this and it hurts. Tgis movie is one of my favourite because of how it made me think and feel. I still feel pressured and useless in this world, however after watching it I am a bit relieved. I hope one day my life can change like shoya's life did. I really do. P.S. : sorry for the long ass paragraph, needed to get it off my chest 😅 Nice edit tho 😍

this was my absolute favorite anime film, time for tears to shed.

I remember watching this for the first time and then reading something about it. It said that the movie was based on a real story, but that the boy, in real life, didn’t make it after the fall. He died protecting her after everything, and in the end. That was the true mark that was left on me.

This movie brought me out of my denial over my anxiety. I dont know how or why. It just did. I am forever grateful to this movie and those who made it. The song at the end when all the X came off of people is what did it for me I think. The instrumental song at the end, you know? I can't explain why. This movie means a lot to me. I'll never forget how I cried that day.
