Walking around sacred streets of Ayodhya | India Darshan Ep 145 | The Rustic Wanderer
In Episode 145 of the India Darshan travel series, I explored the sacred streets of Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. The day began with a visit to the revered Hanuman Garhi temple. According to tradition, before visiting the Ram Temple, one must seek blessings and permission from Lord Hanuman, the protector of Ayodhya and the guardian of Lord Ram. Despite it not being Tuesday (the day dedicated to Hanuman), the temple was bustling with devotees. However, I was able to complete my darshan within 30 minutes. Since there are no dedicated lockers for shoes or personal belongings, visitors usually rely on local shopkeepers. While many force-sell prasad and other items in exchange for safe storage, I was fortunate to find a kind shopkeeper who didn’t force-sell anything. Out of goodwill, I bought some *khurchan peda*, a unique and delicious sweet dish of Ayodhya.
After Hanuman Garhi, I began walking towards the newly inaugurated Ram Temple, which opened its doors to devotees in January 2024. On the way, I indulged in some local snacks, starting with *litti chokha*-a traditional dish from the region. I also tried a slice of *Ram Kand Mool*, a fruit believed to have been consumed by Lord Ram during his exile. Seated nearby was another vendor selling *Makhan Malai*, also known as *Makhan Misri* in this region. Having tried this winter delicacy before in Lucknow, I couldn’t resist another round of the fluffy, creamy dessert here in Ayodhya.
Finally, I made it to the Ram Temple. While the main prayer area was quite dusty due to ongoing renovations, the darshan was a deeply spiritual and memorable experience. Afterward, I attempted to visit the Dashrath Mahal (Dashrath Palace), but it was closed for lunch and wouldn’t reopen until 4 PM. So, I returned to my room to rest for a while.
Later in the evening, I stepped out to sample Ayodhya’s street food scene. I started with a plate of *kachori chole*, followed by some Indo-Chinese *chowmein*. To wrap up the day, I enjoyed a warm glass of *kadhai wala doodh* (a spiced, thickened milk simmered in a wok). This winter favorite, rich with a layer of malai (cream), is flavored with cardamom, saffron, and chopped nuts-a perfect way to end a chilly evening in Ayodhya.
In the next vlog, I’ll be continuing my journey across Uttar Pradesh. Stay tuned to find out where I head next!

You never mentioned something that a lot of people are curious about - the cost of staying there - very important
You're talking about the first thing you're going to do after the park is get over to the hostel and all this farting around before you get there - if you say you're going to go to the hostel get there pretty quickly in your video

bhaai, what is the current scope for a full stack SDE with 2.5 yoe in finland?
Hi. As I'm not from SDE background, I cannot give you the exact scope but I do remember seeing some IT firms out there. You'd be better off connecting with hiring managers and some current line managers at such firms via professional platforms like LinkedIn. They'll be able to guide you in more detail and you can also refer to JDs at such firm to gauge how well your experience fits the kind of roles such firms offer. Good luck!!

Is there a break served at hotel?
@SpiritualRam no but there is a self service kitchen which is huge and you can cook yourself. Otherwise there shops all around nearby so you can grab and go including a small bakery inside the hotel itself by the pool table near the reception.

HINDI ME BOLO BHAI
Thank you so much for your comment and for watching my India Darshan travel series! I appreciate your suggestion to make vlogs in Hindi. While I am fluent in Hindi and understand the appeal, I've chosen to keep my content in English for consistency since that's how I started my channel. This allows me to reach a broader audience and maintain the style and format my viewers are accustomed to. However, I truly value your feedback and will keep it in mind for future considerations. ----------------- Aapke suggestion ke liye shukriya. Iss channel par maine shuruat se English main hi vlogs daale hain aur ab main dono bhahashon ka mishran nahin kar sakta warna jo bahar se mere viewers vlogs dekhte hain unko kuch samagh nahi aayega aur inn viewers ne meri journey main kaafi pehle se meera saath diya hai. Aage chalke jab channel badhega aur kabhi mauka mila toh ek naya hindi vlog channel banake try karunga. Tab tak jude rahen aur aage badhne ke liye sahyog karen.
Can it paid on the spot?

Good evening Rustic Wanderer, you mentioned in your video that there are two companies flying to Ixtepec, South Oaxaca, one is AeroTucan, what is the other one ? Thanks, Georges
Evening. I think for the other option there was a small cesna type plane operated by a private pilot and that doesn't have any airline counter. The booking happens directly by calling the pilot which didnt work for me and not having access to an Airlines counter also meant there was no support in case something went wrong. So, I went with Aerotucan instead and it was a pleasant experience that way.
@@TheRusticWanderer Thank you very much for you kind and fast answer ! From which city are your origins ? I'm askig that because my wife is Indian, from Chennai...
