Me too!! Her Sweet bank (which i used here w/ some of her Power bank mixed in for support) is my favorite, it’s just so pretty. I’m also so glad I can use the cross synthesis as intended instead of mashing them together manually now. The Vocaloid 6 editor is actually becoming usable these days 😂

@@fearofevrything IKR, i love them, I really wish they kept some of her v2 softness in v4x, but her power sounds really different compared to it so i'm just enjoying her other ones. i can barely use her in covers, i somewhat regret buying v4 just for that LOL my favorite's defo her sweet voicebank too, you can make it sound so much more mature which is really great

@@fearofevrything i also heard that direct pitchbending was added to v6? not sure if that's true, but if it is, damn. i tried v6 trial and it gave me a headache as a v4x piapro studio user, but it sounds like v6's getting some good updates?

@@rin85770 yeah i don’t know what crypton was thinking getting rid of rin/len’s base voices and just making power their default. although if you mix warm with some of her power (or maybe the other way around i can’t remember) using xsy you can get a pretty close replica of her v2. i can’t use V2 on my computer without it dying every ten minutes so i’ve had to get creative with my solutions lol

@ and yes, v6 added direct pitch control! it’s only for the AI banks right now, and I don’t know if they plan to make it available for non-AI banks, but it makes the V6 voices actually USABLE. idk if you’ve ever used cevio or voisona but the pitch works a lot like theirs now. you still can’t turn off auto-pitch but you can easily override it with manual tuning now instead of having to fight against it lmao

thank you! she’s actually one of my favorites, and I wanted to hear how she would sound here. fun fact if you don’t know, the singer of the original song is chinese-canadian and speaks fluent mandarin and english so i wanted to use one of the native mandarin voicebanks to try and capture her unique accent a little better!

yes! all of my synthv voices are the full versions (aka not lite) and I use synthv pro! I’m not sure but I think she might have a free version? If you’re interested definitely look on the synthv wiki or something, they usually show whether a voice bank has a lite version or only a paid one.

Ahhhh thank you! Yeah I absolutely adore the snappiness of this song, so honestly the pronunciation and cadence of the lyrics was almost as important for me to get right as the tuning itself was. That’s one thing I like about Piapro; the EVEC is integrated very well into it and Miku NT has an “Accent” option that helps her emphasize certain notes and I think it worked perfectly here.

You should listen to some of her Project Sekai songs. All of the original/commisioned songs in the game use NT (including prototypes of the other Cryptonloids which people think they just turned into the new SP voicebanks) and some of them are BAD, especially the older ones. Praying that the update makes her sound better, I'm cautiously optimistic...

It's true but also this is my first time mixing/tuning her, so I do also think I could've made her a little clearer. I wouldn't say this is the greatest example of NT in general but she is NOT my favorite to say the least. I will say I do have the same problem with her V4x bank, where she kinda sounds like she's singing with cotton in her mouth, but I have practice with her V4 bank and the V6 & Piapro editors, so it's easier to mitigate that. Ahhh thank you!! It’s edited afterwards! I used the voice drive plugin from Piapro NT, it does a REALLY good job when you use it in editing, not so much when it’s used in Piapro itself. If you wanna hear more of its effects check out my cover of Gift, I used it to make Rikka growl! It sounds a little worse because I used her standard bank but I think it’s still a good example of how it can be used.

​@@fearofevrything voicedrive!! it sounds reaally good, i've considered getting miku NT just for it, but yk.. not a huge fan of how she sounds as of now, despite the really cool features. :( like i really wanted a parameter that was like the synthv tension one, but miku NT just doesn't sound right to me in the first place.. i seriously hope they can improve the sound, NT could have so much potential. anyway, i'll check out your cover!

@@rin85770 I’m not even going to lie, the plugin is a huge reason i bought her in the first place lmao. I agree about Miku NT in general though, she sounds a bit strange, and I feel like her voice is way too soft to even take advantage of her parameters. I’m praying that this new update Crypton is putting out helps. I have a bit of hope considering I’m about 90% sure Deco used it in some of his more recent songs, and she sounded GREAT.

Not sure if I accidentally enabled auto-pitch or what but the pitch curve currently just looks like an absolute disaster. Any particular voice you’d like to hear it with?

@@AquaBubbles-bh4fk I do! I own most of the non-dreamtonics female banks for synthv, and Miku, Rin, Sora and Una V6! I’ve amassed a bit of a collection if you can’t tell lmao. Shoutout to DLsite for having sales all the time or I would never have been to afford all of them 😂

Thank you! She definitely has a unique voice, that’s for sure! I think both her AI and standard are more fitting than any other synth V for these kinds of songs where the voice needs to have that robotic quality to it. I’m a huge fan of the fact that one of her vocal modes is “Crispy” so you can easily add that crunch as you see fit. I had literally used her ONCE before this on the same svp I use to test all of my new voicebanks and then promptly forgot she existed. So I’m glad it turned out well despite my lack of experience using her! Thanks again for listening! (and i’m so sorry about the entire paragraph response i seem to be completely incapable of just.
