Leaving Cert Maths - Introduction to Complex Numbers
มุมมอง 1.9K3 ปีที่แล้ว
The main thing i should've mentioned at the start is that the sqrt(-1) is represented by 'i'..... this is because the sqrt(-1) is a 'math error' on your calculator so using Imaginary Numbers allows us to deal with negative square roots. For Example Sqrt(-16) is a math error but if we split it up we can say sqrt(16) x sqrt(-1) =(4) x (i) = 4i So essentially, Sqrt(-16) is 4i

exams tomorow and i never learned logs, powers and indices wish me luck lads
Thank you so much, this is the one thing I couldn't understand. <3
jogged my memory, thanks a mil
Thanks so much for this video junior cert in 2 weeks
Very good explanation
Fair play doing gods work
very helpful, thank you!!
Why do we divide it by 5 at 3:15
Because 5y is equal to 10... But we want what 1y is equal to?... So we divide 5y by 5 to bring it diwn to 1y...qhich shows us that 1y us equal to 2!
So helpful, thanks so much
Explain why you “bring this guy across” so kids know why they’re doing it ie. Divide left side by 5 to get rid of the 5, so have to do the same on right side.
Thanks 🎉🎉😊
Good method but too long
yeesssssssssssssssss i got the second one correct thnxxx
paper 1 in 3 hours, lets give this a go lol

This helped out so much thanks for the video
Nice tutorial helpful even but I'm inside your walls.
This saved me for my exam thankyou 💞💞

Thanks sir
Higher level leaving cert. maths is no joke 💀
In the state exams if you offer 2 answers, even if one is correct they will give 0 marks as the wrong answer cancels out the correct answer...
Ok thanks
Or would they just mark the question wrong
Hey just wondering Is it ok to put 2 different answers if your not sure which one is right
Missed all the HL functions due to being off with covid, going into my exam tomorrow and this video really helped clear things up, much thanks

tysm this is so helpful
Wouldn't the answer for the 2nd question be 'P^4 +12P^3Q+54P^2Q^2+108PQ^3+81Q^4' instead of "p^4......Q^4 "
Yep sure should be well done!
Thank you for uploading this video Sir. I remember some mathematics textbooks using the term "absolute values".
thank you so much for this my dude!
YOU ARE A SAVIOUR
I've been called worse 😬
This has helped me alot with struggling with indices and i will definitly come back to this. Thank you Mr Fitz
