Machine was bought inoperable. We found aluminum in oil filter. Possible injector failure caused the cylinder wash. Cylinder #3 melted and sent the aluminum all the way to turbo. DPF got clogged. Block was serviced but did not survive. DPF was cleaned by pressure washer and blown by air and baked. New Block, Pistons, Turbo and Injectors.

When you set all the timing gears did you have it at TDC ? I have a new injection pump on mine and it’s not pumping
Correct, injection pump is gear driven, put all gears with gear marks correctly facing each other then put engine in TDC and adjust the valves.
@@mohaghasemi Ty do you understand how the HP5 diesel injection pump actually works ? Mine has a pcv ( pre stroke control valve ) not a scv ( suction control valve ) my question is if the pump is turning shouldn’t it be pumping fuel to the fuel rail ? I have good supply to the pump but no fuel going to the rail. I have a new injection pump installed and I have set all the timing gears to their correct marks but the pump still will not build any rail pressure. I really appreciate your feedback. It’s the same pump you have on your engine
@@wastedwages8229 when changing the injection pump, you should put engine in TDC, then align the gears before removing and replacing the pump. If there's no pressure maybe you have these potential issues: Bleed the lines. 1. Electrical or Control Issues of pump HP5 is electrically controlled. Rail Pressure Sensor Monitors the pressure in the fuel rail and feeds data back to the ECM. If fuel control actuator (FCA) fails then pump does not send fuel to rail (Check with Multimeter) also check if the pump if it receives signal from ECM. 2. Defective New Injection Pump 3. Mechanical Blockage Debris from the old injection pump or elsewhere might have entered the system during the replacement. Start with simple checks like fuel flow and air bleeding before diving into more complex diagnostics. I would check the easy and obvious ones first, also, if you want the engine to run optimum for fuel consumption then take it to Dealer to calibrate the injectors with their computer after. also, if you had a mechanical failure of pump, I would take the injectors out for service (Debris might have gone to the rail) wish you luck, cheers,
i was wondering why you didn't move the rubber o ring from the old metal base to the new one. DId the new one not have a place to put the o ring on it? isn't that o ring meant to keep water from seeping in under that metal base or as a second line of defense of leaking of the container?
The new base come with the O-ring embedded in it in one piece (improved design)
I see nothing has changed, did this on my 2000 , now my 2015 is dripping coolant out the air/c condensation drain tube,so I suspect heater core leak

What was the problem with the airbag light i did mine and my clock spring is still good i checked all connections and still cant figure it out. Any ideas.
Clock spring is around the base of your steering column, make sure you have all the connector pins completely pushed in place. I would start from there, In my case, the yellow pin connector on to of the passenger airbag had come loose during installation, I dropped the glovebox and behind it I saw the pin and pushed it in place. Unbelievable. Nice work. Do you know which blend door is used for the heat? The heat in my truck is very weak, almost nothing at all (2016 Ram 2500 Cummins). I checked the blend door that can be accessed from the glove compartment and it works. But idk if that's the one for the heat (I didn't realize there is more than one). Did you have to do anything special bleed the air out of the system when you refilled? I am wondering if my heater core could be air bound. I flushed the heater core but what came out was very clean so I don't think the heater core is dirty or plugged up. (also noticed on my truck that it doesn't have a cabin air filter, but there is a spot for one... weird) Thanks, great video.
Also I get the rationale behind changing the actuators but remember sometimes brand new replacement parts are junk!
The outside of the heater core is clogged from the air not being filtered, you need to add a filter and clean or replace the core.
My 2015 5500 Laramie may be leaking did the 3rd time. If I run the AC only will it slow or stop the heater cord leak. Just trying to make it home
Unfortunately not, The heater core and AC evaporator are different and separate from one another. Best of Luck.
I will never buy another ram. The fourth gen trucks are absolute garbage. TIPM failure. Head unit failure, heated seats quit. Heater core plugged. 68RFE is junk. Cummins is the only viable thing in the entire truck. The def tank cracked. The dpf filters plugged at 67k miles. Y pipe cracked. All the courtesy lamps quit. The factory headlights suck. The front end geometry is terrible. Never again

I am impressed why the person that desings it that u need to take the whole interiour apart for getting to the heater core hasnt been fired.....Wenn it could be designed it would take u 20 min...... On some older cars swapping a heater core is a 30min job......And on modern cars u get a airbag failure code as return for 1,5 days work.....
You couldn't get a crate engine? Seems like Kubota stuck it to you selling you part by part. For all you spent seems like Kubota could have given you a can of paint.
Thanks so much for the very clear instructions. I too had a bac flip cover that I had to get into too. I was able to get access to the tailgate latch and fix the pivot point - that had come out of it's hole. I too was surprised how cheaply this whole mechanism was made. Fixed the whole thing in 15 minutes. Many thanks - Craig from New Westminster, B.C.

I watched a Ford tech replace an assembly, he used a spray on lithium grease to lubricate everything... it seems like you have done this more than once the lithium might last longer.
it is bad idea to use olive oil as lubricant. It will polymerize over the time and make it hard to unscrew it if needed.
Would canola oil be better, or what is your suggestion for most safe for people and optimal functionally for things like this that you mentioned?
I would use mineral oil.

He pulled those rods towards the center/latch mechanism. Then he lifted the little pale green tabs and pulled the slack out of those rods.
