The key is to swing once the ball leaves the hand and hope it connects 😂. Once you get used to that pitcher you can read their pitches and know if to swing or take a ball.

When u see enough 80-90 mph pitches as a catcher ur eyes get used to it. First pitch was a high zone fastball at around 93 Second pitch was a splitter that looks like high fastball at first at around 88 Third pitch was 85 mph slider and it was nasty Third pitch was a slider

I couldn't really hit curve balls. But, no one got a fast ball by me. I never swung at a high fastball. I would pull that fast ball down the line. I loved hitting the fast ball.

I tried a batting cage at 60mph and could barely make contact. It actually frightened me. I can't imagine 98mph!

I played in college and a guy in KY thew 100 MPH and I was lead off batter... I stood in there saw the first pitch (sorta) and decided to bunt down thrid and got on base....after that ..NOT ONE of our TEAM MEMBERS hit the ball including myself 2 other times.... :P
