I love how balanced this is. You aren't just taking Lena's side, you are showing both sides letting us see that they both screwed up so many times but kept at it. Neither of them gave up on the other, they wanted to, but they kept trying until they got it right. It was clear that Lena loved Kara. Nobody can convince me she reacted to the betrayal with the rage that she did over a friendship. Her reaction was of someone denying a side of her that she kept hidden and then suddenly to find it was based on a lie caused severe emotional damage. It would take her months to come to the realization that she had been wrong, that it wasn't 1 sided like she thought. Once she realized that Kara had also been in denial, her focus changed. She saw that Kara cared just as much and also had been lying to herself. This is made clear by the fact that season 6 was all about Lena helping Kara except who she is. If we look at the hidden meaning behind nearly all of their conversations in season 6 we can see that by this point, Lena knows who and what she is and is helping Kara except who she is as well. I can safely say that if we look at the context of the words, Lena wants Kara to see they are in love with each other.

This song has been used for Supercorp multiple times but i think you did it best. You didn't have Lena or Kara choosing someone else instead of each other, this was totally about them like it should be. I also like that you didn't make Kara a doormat in this, you showed the truth, Lena went to far and Kara put her foot down and said "enough, you went to far and now i have to stop you from hurting people". Lena never meant to push Kara away completely, that's clear by what she said to Lex in 5x14. She became desperate to make her project work so that she could show Kara she was still good. In Lena's mind she wasn't working against Kara, she simply wasn't working with Kara. She didn't realize until way too late that she had turned herself into the enemy.

The villain line hit Lena hard. She liked Kara groveling for forgiveness, but that line hit her hard. She realized at that moment that she was no longer teetering on a line of no return. She had the option of still working with Kara and let her mom talk her into working with Lex. She thought she could stay on that line and go back whenever she wanted, but Kara telling her she will stop her like any other villain told her there was no going back unless she stopped altogether.

Throughout season 6 the show made a point to show Lena react to things kara said to others with a look that is not friends is the look a someone gives when they see someone they are in love with in pain

My moms dead I have no father my grandma's dying I grew up in care and I'm 16 and my brother's 12 and I have to take care of him and alot of responsibilities are riding on me this is hell but I have to create My heaven my grandma said I truly believe this is hell but no you can either create your heaven or hell that's the difference I'm going to be free 1 day but right now it's horrible so I can't sit here and say I want to kill myself I have to stay alive because it's not just my life in my hands I have others to and before my mom died she had girls 2 and they have a home with my aunt and I'm happy for them as long as my siblings have a good life I'm ok and I'm going to devote my life to being free and helping them I have had alot of pain at a early age and I have alot to learn but I'm going to make it out of this hell and I have to tell you I'm alone but your never truly alone you have memories and your connected to everything around you the sun the moon the grass the earth your not alone
