This Old Harley

This Old Harley (American Harley) started out as a Facebook page to share my pictures and videos of my rides, it then grew into a Facebook group with over 8k members. I am now creating this TH-cam channel to share my videos with more than the Facebook community.
I own 2 Harley’s, a 1971 IronHead XLCH & 1998 ElectraGlide Classic, the IronHead I built over the winter of 1999 with the help of my good friend Jerry Brown 👊🏻 it has come a long way since then and now runs better than I do, I will continue to do all the maintenance on it and will be capturing it all with my GoPro7 Black. My ElectraGlide is my everyday rider, I ride to work everyday usually rain or shine and enjoy taking the long way home. I also do as much preventative maintenance on my ElectraGlide as I can and will continue to capture it all on video. This Old Harley is based out of Michigan and it’s beauty is breathtaking. Harley ride to Manistee, Tunnel of Trees & Harbor Springs...
My wife and 2 of our really good friends took a ride on our Harleys over the weekend, we rode to Manistee Friday night, then to Harbor Springs/Tunnel of Trees on Saturday, we hung out with family and took a ride through the Tunnel of Trees on Sunday and came home on Monday, let me know what you think of the video in the comments below. What do you recommend? I just keep it oiled up and scrape it clean
@@ThisOldHarley I suggest you clean it after each use and have it ready for your next cook. This thing has bits all over it that are super old and can get you and your family sick.

There are 13 different types of connectors used over the years. Upgrade to a higher amp if you can. Doubled check part numbers. Many applications require the removal of the inner primary case & starter components, It can get involved. Start off with the proper troubleshooting procedure.
Replaced the stator years ago and it's been working great, I have 97k miles on the bike now. Thanks for the tips
I didn't see you reinstall the harness clamp (2 little screws) to the case. You shouldn't need to remove the clutch basket.
I did reinstall the harness clamp. if I didn't do it on camera, I must have done it after, it's all good

I just changed my battery, stator, stator rotor, and voltage regulator and it fixed mine

Lots of things can cause this: Under inflated tires Wheel bearings Unstable load Bad tire pressure Tire tread Neck bearings And more…
