Actually, it was a 3v3 scrimmage this week due to a low turnout of skaters. We all still had a great time and it was pretty relaxed without the college kids.

A bunch of us attended a game between Hartford Wolf Pack and the Bridgeport Islanders (the farm teams for the NY Rangers and Islanders). As an incentive, we were allowed to scrimmage on the ice at the XL Center in Hartford prior to the game. The ice was amazing and the staff was super nice! Since there were minimal games this week, Hometown Heroes decided to raid Dennis' practice session. I think we all had a pretty good time, and had some new faces there as well. There were drills prior to the scrimmage so if people look a little tired, that might be why.

I was accepted to fill in for the Hometown team Band-Aid Brigade in their game against Ugly Pucklings. This is part of the Island Ice Hockey's E Division which is why you see a few college level players (no, there is no regulation of players in this league like there is in Hometown Heroes divisions). Considering the disadvantage, we still had a great time and look forward to the next challenge....

This is the small rink at the Ice Works in Syosset. It's not as long but plenty wide for practice.
