If all else failed in this repair, my only recourse would be to remove the blower motor solder on two lead wires and put a generic automotive plug on to that and on to the resistor assembly to get it to work that way.
Yeah pontiac distributors don't sit straight in the engine like say a chevy motor and also one more side note the pontiac distributors turn counterclockwise and not clockwise like a chevy ..
I,d pay extra if they would include canopy masks
Good song
I was sitting in my car waiting for my mom and these guys were doing their stuff getting the pollen and that happened to be on my playlist as I shot the video
Lmao. I thought this was my house for a sec. Very similar set up. Tight spaces and all 😅👍
The dash is looking good . The old gas tank struggle : ) Been there before . Sometimes the best tool to get it in place is your body and wrestle it in there . I'm building a 70 Lemans wagon if your interested ? Keep up the good work
LeMans wagon? I am definitely interested in that. I don't think I've ever even seen one live on the street anywhere. New subscriber. Going to check out the whole series

Ever discover the problem? i watched both of the videos you made for this. Sure can be a bear when it comes to electrical issues.
Yes, I eventually ran it down to the remote starter. Although changing and improving the grounds did improve the situation
Thank you for your video.I have had problems with mounting my cheaper rear disc brake conversion kit and the instructions were not correct and the kit didn't supply the proper spacers needed.I search and searched you tube and just found your video! Thank you for the detailed and thorough video.
Thank you for your comment. Probably the longest and most complementary of all comments thus far. Hope you have better luck installing your kit. Hope my videos help you.
Would these grounds cause no injector pulse it sounds like it
Are probably should post an update about this condition but I don't think that's the problem. The truck has been running fine since the video. I believe now that because when this condition occurs even after I fix the ground wires i would have to wait 10 or 15 minutes and then the truck would start. I thought about this for quite some time. Trying to figure out why this condition existed and I think I know why now. I believe that somehow my remote starting system is involved. And at the time the remote I had was inoperative. Since then I have gotten a remote to work. Use it a few times and yesterday made some short trips that were less than 10 or 15 minutes for the drive. And the truck started up every time. So in the end of it all I believe I still had a ground problem. But the real culprit was my remote starting system.
Where can I find your wiring diagram
Thank you for subscribing to my channel. I found the wiring diagram on the internet. I will find one and post it here if I can. I'm not an experienced TH-cam producer. It was a lot of stuff. I just don't know how to do yet.
I replied to your email link that you sent me. I hope it makes it to you
What did you find on the fuel gauge issue? Mine stays on full as well
As you watch the other installments you will see. But in short everything was just old. Gas tank need to be replaced. Sending unit need to be replaced. Fuel line need to be replaced. Wiring need to be replaced.
Thank you for watching my content
Dirty rusty fuel pump ground at the bed and cab was the issue for me as well . Intermittent no start no crank resolved . Starts everytime after cleaning them up thanks bubba
You're welcome! Thanks for watching
Found a broken strap near bed and hopefully changing it out will help me start her up
Why do you have to warm them first?
Most instructions on cans of paint will tell you that it is best to paint in temperatures 50 to 75° or something like that. So it is best to have the warmest environment so the paint performs and sticks to the surface your applying your paint to. So this is why when it's really cold I try and warm up the thing I'm painting and warm up the paint in the house with some hot water before using it.
Ok I was expecting that table to crack in half
Hahaha ohh man ooosha would be proud properly lifted heavy weight
Like a pro! Good job.
Why do I have too turn keytwicesome times to start 6:52 6:52 6:52
When a fuel pump begins to age it develops less pressure. So turning the key twice will help build the pressure before starting
Idk if you will see this but did you have any trouble getting an alignment?
No, I did not. The spindle service upper control arms were very close to a factory replacement. Just a lot stronger.
@@NIGHTFLIGHTVIDEO thank you I’m looking for some for my leveling kit to fix my ball joint angle I appreciate the response
Aye big fella. I didn’t see the video. Maybe I overlooked it. I searched TH-cam and can’t find a video anywhere of how the rear bumper brackets bolt onto the body. I had the car painted and the painter removed the bumper ls and I can’t figure out how to put them back on.
Maurice, check the latest video I have posted. I shot some footage of the rear and front bumper attachment points. The shots I took are at the tail end of the video.
Tomahawk. Need ur help….trying to install front and rear bumpers on 72 lemans. Can you send u send underneath pics of front and rear so I can see how bumper brackets are installed? Greatly appreciated.
I will shoot a short video and put it on the channel. As you have seen, the front of my car is a 1970 GTO. I don't know if this will apply to putting on the front bumper of a 1970 Pontiac LeMans, but I'll take the camera underneath and shoot some footage. Hopefully it will help you.
@@NIGHTFLIGHTVIDEO Much appreciated!! Yes, I’m working on a LeMans. So the front brackets may Indeed be different. But the rear looks like the same bumper.
Might also want to replace your fuel pressure regulator
Thank you for the comment. I did that as well. Later on
Are the two grounds that are next two each other behind the driver side wheel both for the fuel pump?
Yes. At the time I thought that two wires would be better than one.
Hey tomahawk have you fixed your truck yet, i know its been a time since this started but would like to chime in
Since this video, it has been running better than it has before. Relatively trouble-free. I currently now store it during the summer and have another vehicle that I drive in the summer. Thank you for watching and commenting on my video.
@@NIGHTFLIGHTVIDEO send me your email please i would like to send you a picture
Go back to your battery ground to block connection there is another wire there that comes from the wiring harness, pull both wires by removing the bolt inspect the connector to wire connection fron the engine harness, cut it off amd solder on another, put both back on the block and let me know how it goes..
I have an issue where I replaced the ground from fuel filler neck and changed the fuel pump but I still don’t hear the fuel pump go on
All I can think of is to start making continuity checks in the wiring harness
Does the fuel pump run when that ground is faulty? I changed my fuel pump in 2021 and now I’m having the same issue. Engine cranks but I don’t hear the fuel pump go on.
In another vid i just ran the ground right to the engine block.
Fuel filter change and spark plugs a couple years back🤦🏻♂️ I change my fuel filter plugs and wires oil and oil filter 3 times a year… call it obsessive or compulsive.. but my schitt doesn’t break down!!
That's good but if the grounds are rusty like mine it won't run.
When you have a bad ground none of your OCD maintenance will mean shit.
Did you figure out what the no start issue was on your truck?
I believe now after all the work i've done that it could be also related to an older remote car/truck starter. I'm kinda afraid to remove it right now,I'm no electrician i'm going to have have it replaced if possible.
Great video that’s my problem to liked and subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
Good job keep doing good things. Mey god bless you, i wish your dreams comes true love you from INDIA 🇮🇳♥️
thank you
Too much talking then doing the jub right ✅️ 🙄
i am kinda wordy
Good work keep it going. All you people out there give this modeler alike.
I appreciate that!
I'm in the same spot with a 1987 chevy Astro 4.3 . I'm about to sell it for junk.
Is it with or without the cat's
cat back system
What’s your opinion on these after you got them installed?
They are working fine. I don't detect any cracks or failures.
Great canvas for a restomod! Nothing like a gto..most beautiful car man kind ever made, works of art! Sounds really healthy, I was born in back seat of a green 70 judge in 1979!
That's kinda where i'm going with it. I was conceived in the rumble seat of my dad's hot rod,a 1936 ford
Hello, I was wondering if you ever fixed the starting issue. If so what was it. I have a suburban doing the same exact thing.
after all of that work i believe it maybe the remote starter. when it doesn't start,i wait 10 minutes or more and then it will start by key or remote. if i use the remote to start it to warm it up in cold, its timed to shut off after 10 minutes. must be some interference going on. i'm afraid to disconnect or it might not start at all.
I would be driving it. Storage, aw hell no.
It needs a new steering box. Hopefully that will happen this summer.
Nice if you had a hood.
Looked like a gto hood leaning near motorcycle! It was flat black
If it’s ever for sale let me know !
That's my grandma's car, it will be with me till i croak
Looks great!!
Thanks!
fellow. Enjoyed.professionl ,take care- =))
Thanks 👍
Nice car man
Do you live in Toledo? I knew a Bill Williams once that owned of pizza chain called Alexander the Great Pizza , is that you?
Check your fuel regulator, maybe the fuel pressure being regulated from a bad fuel regulator is causing your issues and it is on the top left driver side on top of engine on fuel rail and is pretty cheap to replace, the only way you would know is getting a fuel pressure gauge and connecting it to the fuel access port to see if it's actually a fuel problem. Also check the vacuum line to the regulator that it isn't bad. Another possibility is check ALL your grounds to the frame and to starter and wires to battery, if any are really hard and not flexible it could be causing bad contact with high resistance in that wire. Get a multimeter and check the ohms (resistance) from one end to the othe end of the wires, rule is any ohms that read over 1 ohm is to high of resistance in that wire.
I like it. I'm getting the same muffler this week with 4x18 tips
You also should change the braided strap between the body (firewall) and engine block. that one always causes problems. and, is the one to the hood missing from the adjacent stud? I just changed those 2 and the neg batt cable on my 2011, so you really need yours it's all green with oxidation.
shame you put a GTO nose on it
You get what you can get.
wow thats one drity engian bill maybe powler wash lol
when you learn how to spell, I'll clean the engine
Yessssss!!!!!
That's what I thought too.
