Welcome to my TH-cam channel. This is the place I get to do all my fun stuff, original music, and covers of my favorite bands. Obviously, there’s a lot of Rush covers. There is a reason for that outside of my love for the band. I’ve had a long history of playing in Rush tribute bands. In 2019 we decided to reform “Rushour” this time I built a replica kit. My TH-cam videos are just another way to justify having it aside from the live gigs. also with the use of Moises, I am able to remove the original drums. It kind of makes the whole thing more exciting. Other than Rush I hope to do more original music, and cover more music I love. Too much to do. And so little time. Thanks to all who subscribe watch & comment. I really appreciate you.
KABORA
An old original from way back. I relearned it, played it on the kit. And recreated the music with virtual instruments. I dedicate this to my old friend Tony Manna,he wrote the bass lines. And arranged it with Sean & myself. Can’t remember all the details it was so long ago. It’s crazy music, and that’s why I like it.

Rushour Drum-Cam, Daytona Beach Bandshell. 5-25-24
มุมมอง 2848 หลายเดือนก่อน
This was our 4th year playing the bandshell opening for Kiss America. I always setup my GoPro on myself so I can review my performance later. I decided to throw some clips together for a quick video. The sound is not so good. Due to the echo on that stage. But it was a great time as always playing with Rushour.

Rush a Passage to Bangkok from the Exit Stage Left live album. I decided to do this one mainly because…More cowbells!
Frank Zappa -Jazz Noise Medley- (Drum Cover)
มุมมอง 2622 ปีที่แล้ว
Music by Frank Zappa. From the live album “ Make A Jazz Noise Here” I know I’m not good enough to have been in Zappa‘s band. But I love the music and I couldn’t help but try and do a Zappa cover after I found out about the Moises app. it’s super fun to play this music in the safety of my own studio. 🤪

Bruford - Beelzebub - (Drum Cover)

My cover of Bill Brufords “Beelzebub.” From the 1978 album “Feels Good to Me.” An intricate piece in 9\8. The groove can literally make you fall off your drum throne if you’re not careful. It features Dave Stewart on Keyboards. Jeff Berlin on Bass. And my personal favorite guitar player of all time. Allan Holdsworth. It’s a pleasure to play along and listen to his amazing solo on this. Tribute To Neil Peart. By Reed Hayes

Pieces of Eight written by Neil Peart. I arranged this to preform live with my Rush tribute band Rushour as a solo feature. Triggering samples that I created on Logic Pro. I also threw in the horn finale of his Show of Hands solo for kicks. Natural Science drum cover... Enjoy!!

2020 has been a strange year so far. I was never interested in doing "Rush cover videos" playing along with the albums. ( Except for with drumless tracks) But the last 6 months the events that have happened, the passing of Neil Peart. and the CV pandemic. Have put me in the position to go ahead and do some Rush covers. My last show before the quarantine was with my Rush tribute band "Rushour". ...

Good job congrats my friend...
Hanging with Reed at a Dweezil Zappa show... pricelss
@@48zeke man my mind is always blown by that band. Great to see you there bro!
Slick Daddy-O...
Love that Reed ! Great playing !
Great playing! Great song version! So fun to watch!
That end fill is hard to master. It’s either behind the beat or ahead of it. Very rarely do I hear a cover band that nails it. I agree with another comment; if the guitar or vocals are off it’s excusable but if the drums are off the critique can be offensive lol. Good job overall 👍
@@apieceofdirt4681 thanks! I really love playing it.
On top of your established drumming skills plus the creative visual art and editing pure genius if I might add GREAT JOB REED!
@@vinburkard2858 thank you!
Glad I found this! Listening to this for the past 40-some years it seemed almost inhumanly impossible. Now I see how much better I have to get to play it, and it's possible, I just need to be waaaaay better, lol. Thank you so much for putting this out there.
Qué gran trabajo!!! Saludos desde México
Perfect fantastic 🏆🥁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Perfect!!!
Awesome reed such an on point yet relaxed style of play what a great sounding snare great job!
Thank you kindly!
I would sell my daughter to an Arab to own this kit!
The best I've ever seen. So relaxed. Enjoyed it very much.
@@luperodriguez7534 thanks for watching..Glad you enjoyed it.
Nailed it. Great job sir. Very nice out btw.
Awesome!!
Fantastic!
@@Thelearner1000 thanks!.
Incredible job!!
Great sound!
Well done sir. The flow/energy was spot on. Powerful yet subtle .
Yessir! Like that. As a guitar player growing up I was always in the "Alex is the shit" camp. I guess if you play bass, you're in the "Geddy is the shit" camp. It took reaching my 50's and Neil passing away for me to realize how "the shit" Neil actually was. Watching you play this flawlessly almost makes me want to take up the drums. But I know when it looks too easy, that's how hard it is! I'll stick to guitar. After 40 years of playing, on a good day I can just about nail the into to "The Trees"...on a good day.
Thanks I appreciate you watching, and your comment.
Outstanding!
I tip my hat to you. 53 now, listening to Rush since I've been 10. Lots of players try to nail the drum parts to Rush song, few really do. You did. This was not only fantastic to watch but inspirational like Neil...I want grab my sticks and play.
Thanks so much😊
I know this song inside and out, it's on of my favorite Rush songs. I could anticipate every percussion sound I should hear, and you nailed them all. Great stuff.
Bravo Rush dudes!
This was super good, Reed, really awesome job! I love the ESL version the best!
Thanks! Fun song to play.
Dude, this was full-on awesome. Nice job!
Incredible as usual Reed! TY
great!
Reed, When that album came out, I played it for months until I could play and remember every beat like you. I had the same Black Slingerland set that Neil had back in 1976. Anyway, I haven't heard it played so perfectly sine back then. You are a great drummer and you kit sounds amazing. Oh, I ever Viberfized all of my drums like Neil did to his Black Slingerland and his Red Tama kit. I want brag about myself, but myself and a friend of mine, used to play these songs like you just did here for over 20 plus years, but, computers weren't around then and there was no TH-cam. I have watched so many other drummers TRY to play Rush, but it takes a very special individual to really master Neil's Touch.. Great Job !!! Joey..
Thanks Joey! I have no doubt that you were doing what I do in 1976. Neil had that effect on so many of us. I appreciate you takin the time to watch and share your experience.
Great playing! Looks like an old Lars😂
That is a great sounding kit and great playing.
Yes it is.. and thanks.☺️
One of the best tracks on the album. Right along with Witch Hunt and Vital Signs. They're really overlooked imo because of the other big songs from the album.
Agreed
Excellent playing here. There are a ton of up counts (syncopations) that have to be hit precisely on mark to successfully play this track, and they are done perfectly.
Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
Great job! Love this tune and you nailed it.
Awesoooooome!!
Outstanding. Loved the video it's hysterical. I'm doing a similar project - I hope they come out as good as these did. Love the hint of purple. Flip the bass drum heads - check MP and Signals Kits.
Thanks! Your kit is amazing as well. Best of luck with your project. Please share when it’s done. Love to see it. Keep up the great work!
Best cymbal work of Neil’s career. Perfectly executed . Love it brother.
One of my favorite back catalogs from Moving pictures....great job man!
Well done. Nothing super hard, but absolutely nothing repeats. 8 minutes of unique rhythms. One of my favorites. I hear something new almost every time.
Awesome, and precise. Great drum kit too 👍
Absolutely incredible! One of my favorite Rush tunes played to PERFECTION! Ty! New subscriber on board!
Fantastic job my man
Thanks!
nice and smooth
Absolutely stunning 😮👏
Professional. Clean with precision. Great job sir!!
Thanks!
Killed it!
Dude do you live near me? You wanna jam hahaha. Your amazing. Its so hard to find people that are into playing this kind of stuff with. But dude you nailed it. Honestly if someone just played this i would think i was listening to the record with Neil playing.
P.S and those drums sound so good great sound
This guy is right now, great job
