Almost doesn't cut it. The aerodrome was basically a scaled-up model of the non-piloted models Langley had built previously. And those were too fragile to begin with. It also had no yaw control. It could only achieve short hops after it was HEAVILY modified by Glen Curtiss. Sorry but the Wright Bros beat Langley to the punch.
