Finally figured out why BD are trash this year.. A show called the Romantics, and it’s performed with no heart. The music is too dark and dissonant
@@jackwong2917 I never thought of it that way. I definitely wasn’t drawn into this show as I have been with past BD shows like Felliniesque
When you say it's performed with no heart, you are referring to the corps members themselves, correct? I wonder what makes you the judge of these members, and how much heart they are, or are not performing with. I just spent the weekend with them in Houston and San Antonio, and I can tell you that they are busting their butts and putting their heart and soul into this show - AND, they love this show. They are having so much fun with the music. Does this mean you have to like it? Of course not. Does this mean YOU will understand it? Obviously not. But does this mean YOU get to judge THEIR heart. Absolutely not. I wish people would stop using their personal preferences and/or lack of understading as a venue for hurling baseless insults at hard working teens and young adults.
@@supergirlsmg I meant the music. It’s just not my cup of tea. The corps members could be playing to the best of their abilities, I still wouldn’t care for the music. That’s all. I respect their effort.
In my opinion, it feels MUCH more empty than last year. I still like BD tho.

The ending def could’ve been better. I’m not complaining though, that trumpet duet is what got me 🤩
Absolutely amazing show but props were too heavy for this… the drill is being affected by the unnecessary bulky platforms. I wish the percussion section wasn’t subjected to the corner for ballad. I place you 3 full points ahead of BD.
