You'd be a good voice cloned narrator with just a little bit of training/practice :)
Hey, amazing video, i have a question - how did you learn, like, all of this? Im trying to learn how to compose and create music myself, can do pretty okay songs, but the more advanced stuff associated with music theory, not just the basiscs seems like a vomplete abstraction to me. Were you recreating songs? Analyzing them? What was your learning curve? Would really appreciate a response Thanks in advance and have an awesome day
It may have done better if you had assigned a role at the beginning of the prompt. For example, "you are a highly trained music composer" or even, "you are the famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven".
I also compose music and I also write games and apps in Unity. Good to hear from you bro!
Hello, TH-camr, can you share the configuration of your computer? My computer has never been as smooth to use.
Yep, play around with the buffer rate and the music library. I use 2048 for the buffer and the MuseSounds, but if you use regular sound fonts, it might be faster.
Great sharing
Thanks you. Nice demonstration of how to use base, and work keeping it in technologic result.
Thank you!
Have you tried copilot?
Yes! I've used Copilot and VsCode for a project, but I found it way too much of a hassle to justify it. But that's just me though! It does work, and Copilot was very useful in generating GDscript.
why is this so underrated? I loved your teaching style, I will definitely enjoy an in depth tutorial!!
we can keep our jobs
absolutely incredible work. not even gonna mention the 30min ... would have been impressed if it was 6h
Thank you very much!!
Very inspiring. thank you for this!!
Thank you for your support!
This is the worst way to make music to me, it feels like writing code. dont they have a piano roll like daws do?
Nope! It's definitely a more tedious way than paino roll for sure. But personally I prefer the staff notation to see musical ideas.
You just saved 13 hours of my life thank you
I'm glad to have helped!
OK you've covered some good things here but (1) You're speaking to fast / not clearly in places which makes it difficult when you are (2) also inconsistently captioning what you are showing. It's also the basics of shortcuts really, I wouldn't say this is by any means the ultimate guide. Thumbs up anyways.
Thank you for the feedback, it's much appreciated!
Nice to the point video! Just a suggestion, it would probably make more sense to use Area2Ds and their body_entered signal. Also, you should queue_free() to be safe. To keep track of the collected coins you could have an autoload script, that emits a signal when the amount is changed. The label could be connected to that signal and change the text accordingly. The player could access the autoload to increase the coin amount.
These are some great optimization tips! I haven't been on godot for a while and it seems like I did forget to use queue_free(). I'll mention this in the next episode.
how do you this very dark background and white notes is it an option or something cuz idk rl
It's a setting under appearance which allows you to change the background color and inverse notes.
Thanks
You are very welcome!
Can you do continue this series, pliss
You got it! I'm continuing it until the end.
I can tell Andres has never watched a horror movie. I can't tell what's funnier: The fact that his idea actually worked, or that the only reason he died was because he forgot to shut the door behind him
how did you get musecore to look so good?
I just messed around with the appearance settings. You can change everything from color of the score to fonts.
Currently trying to figure out why I would use something other than chatgpt, I have a paid version and I have good prompting skills. Its way faster imo. Maybe the sweet spot is getting chatgpt for an outline and then moving forward with copilot and then final revision with gpt
In my opinion, I think Copilot is more coding while chatgpt is more general. Even if GPT4 is a better model in almost every regard, the lack of focus in training data causes it to underfit too often. They're both great tools to help with programming projects nonetheless.
nice tutorial i say u should make more Musescore 4 tutorials because there are not may Musescore 4 tutorials out there really but i love your talent and this was super helpful thx u i was struggling with this a lot but thx u so much u should make another one about Musescore 4 but more in detail about how the program works and what setting if any and notes to use when making ether a happy tune or a dark scary tune depending and teach how different settings work and how different instruments sound and which to use when making ether a happy tune or a dark scary tune depending (again) and how to make a slow beat or a high beat or both and how to do cool effects in your music but thx u so much for the tutorial it means a lot. (love ur content btw nice vids keep chasing ur dreams to be what u want to be)
Thank you for your support, I'll be sure to make more tutorials soon!
ur welcome😁@@lynnlo
How did you make your score black and white like that? It looks so clean
It's in the settings under appearance!
@@lynnlo thank you, I can actually look at my composition now and not have the bright white blind me
i mean... pretty short, but to the point. I subbed, because I'd like to see future episodes. thanks!
This is one of the short ones, yes. But thank you for your support!
Writing music does not require intelligence. You just need talent
Thanks bro for give this important informations.😊
Thank you for watching!
How’d you enable dark mode?
You go to preferences > Appearance > Theme.
It could use some timpani and cymbals, they add so much depth But it's overall pretty cool
Thanks for the feedback!
Can u make a tutorial on how to mix on musescore 4. On how u mixed your musescore 4 compositions?
Hey man just started my composition classes in college the choice is between muse, sebelius, Doric and finale I really like MuseScore I was wonder if I could pay you for mentorship, tutoring lessons ?
I'd be happy to help! Just tell me what topics you're interested in, and I'll be happy to make videos on them. And don't worry about payment, I enjoy sharing my knowledge.
Is there a quick way to edit chords instead of erasing them and completely rewriting them in? Like edit notes within the score one by one? I don’t know all the quick keys yet… but I did pretty ok on my first score. I played the piano and exploded the scores into my string quartet. Oh and string glissandos but portamento style not like falling style
I gotcha! These two I can answer directly but this gives me a good idea for a video. You can select and drag notes in a chord with the mouse. But I find it easier to select a note in a chord and use up and down arrow keys to move it. To put in a portamento, you should use the proper glissando line for notation purposes (though functionally it doesn't matter). In the inspector, select playback and set it to portamento instead of chromatic. Hope this helps!
@@lynnlocan you make a video on all the keyboard shortcuts you use for like tuplets and other markings? Do you use defaults or have a custom setup?
I have a custom setup that I've grown used to. I'm planning on making it soon!
Lynnlo gaming
Indeed.
👍😊
Thank you for joining my stream and for the recommendations!
It doesnt generate anything, AI model picks starting notes and caculate probabilities of next notes based on given prompt.
It's actually just tensors and weights, yep. But still I think it's pretty cool.
Couldn’t get on the stream. Wish I could have, because the music you make is awesome!
I appreciate it! I'll try my best to do regular streams.
platfromer
You had me double check my spelling.
Every decision is a good one 👌
I really hope so, but again it feels much lighter not dealing with legacy code.
What hotkeys do you use? anything custom? what do you recommend
I use "E" instead of "N" for new notes. "T" for ties, "G" to make anything dotted, and "S" for slurs. I would recommend taking a look at the shortcuts to memorize accents as well. Another thing I started doing was creating a custom pallette. It only takes a couple of minutes but has saved me hours of searching.
I find it really funny that all 3 of these AI are basically arguing over who's a better programmer, and Lynn insists that he's human. Quality television.
Touché Falta, touché.
Amazing!
Thank you so much!

Good point good point.
Hi, I will just like to know what version of ChatGPT you test: 3.5 or 4.0 ?
I tested 3.5 for this. Maybe I should do one with 4.0?
Really useful. Thanks.
I'm glad it was helpful!
Looks pretty good so far! But I question the wisdom of having the players units be mostly static. Maybe in the later rounds, add a moving target to defend, like a wagon, or a princess, or something?
That's a problem I've been trying to solve, too. It seems more like defending a town than a battle. I think objectives are a great solution though!
You could punish the players for doing the bare minimum of completing the rounds that come.
How so?
@@lynnlo projectiles may require offense rather than defense.
Ohh, that sounds great, actually. Maybe ranged units for enemies.
@@lynnlo Game looks good! 🙂I have some ideas to make it more engaging and strategic though. Perhaps make the melee enemies a little tankier, low damage and instead have those ranged enemies shooting from a little distance, acting like damage dealers. So if the player is not actively attacking the enemy backline to handle them, your units will take a lot of damage. And maybe an enemy that tries to keep distance from player units and that heals his allies? The healer would be hard to kill with melee units, because he runs away, so maybe some ranged units for the player as well to counter healers. Ranged units could have lower health, so having a lot of them would work on the early waves, but the player would be heavily punished when the tankier enemies start spawning. Just some ideas to bring some more strategy into the game, as the player would have to figure out what to prioritise in order to "solve" the current wave. Also, what about special boss waves, like a big but slow guy that needs a specific strategy to die? Like some orbs circling around the boss, so the player has to use ranged units to kill him
Oh wow, thank you so much for the ideas! The way the unit system is set up only allows for melee units, but this greatly hinders the potential for strategy. I think a unit makeover would be rightly in order. I also agree that waves are too short/inconsequential, I plan on slowing down enemies and making them stronger as a solution. Again, thanks for the feedback. This is only a demo, but hopefully will get much more content and polish soon.
Awesome
Thank you!
