It was well known that Amelia Vega was one of the least popular contestants that year because she was confident that she was going to win and did not hide it from the other contestants, especially to her fellow Latin delegates. This was before the Trump picks and the MU staff having a say on who move on to the semi-finals (hence getting rid of "bitchy" contestants). What a shame that part of the clip was removed because of copyright....when it comes down to the final 2, you can see Miss Netherlands looking over to Miss Hungary in shock that the crown might go to Amelia. See that NOBODY rushed to congratulate Amelia as they would other winners. Those that eventually did, as Miss Nicaragua later revealed, were doing it at the behest of the frantic hand gesturing instructions of Scott Grossman offscreen. To her credit, Amelia did seem to learn to be more humble a year later when she passed her crown her to Jennifer Hawkins.
