Phoenix 2m Zero maiden flight and crash landing
After so many months working on this Zero, finally the maiden flight came.
The plane was slightly tail heavy, and the NGH 38cc was not giving all its power.
On landing, the plane didn't want to go down and when I pushed the elevator down, it went like a brick. The wing was split in half.
Currently already fixed and a new video coming soon.

VQ T 28 Trojan Cockpit latch installation

The VQ Trojan came with 2 nylon screws to secure the cockpit on both sides. I don't like the looks of it and decided to add a latch.
DLE Mechanical Fuel Pump

I got the DLE electrical pump before, but it resulted not as good as expected: faulty board, cracked ends, low battery life, etc. So i got a mechanical pump to replace it and it really works fine. At the beginning it was a bit rough, but a shot of lubricant and it became very smooth.

We know that a boxer engine is not the best aesthetic choice for a sleek Spitty, but the owner always likes powerrrrr!!! Unfortunately this plane didn't survive.

After 5 years using this radio, the antenna post broke in the articulated part. I found a replacement in AliExpress and this video shows how I changed it.

The plane all-up-weight is 8.5 kg.

Try using a fine tip soldering iron to heat up the grub screw. This method is what I use when the screw is in a confined area where I don’t want to burn up the surrounding material. Hope this helps you in your future builds. Great video!

To compare to the 1400 P-51 you need a 1700 P-47. It's a huge beast 😁
It’s a e- flite 1220mm P-51s. I’ve got 1200mm P-47s but want a old 1400mm👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
