Are You Wasting Time with the Wrong Contractor Tools?
Me: **Opens up video to learn about some advanced marketing tactics**. Scott: " How do you track it? I don't, I don't give a shit". Me: "Perfect Video!😂. I found my type of business owners". Hopefully more business owners know about this. You can't track some marketing channels, no matter how hard you try.
Truthfully sometimes you just have to spend money on things that work even if you can't get 100% 1:1 attribution....Scott is real honest there.
People waited much longer than two weeks after the hurricane hit here in SWFL
and I bet they hated it
@@prolineappprobably but thats supply and demand. When demand is higher than supply things take longer.
What's a better option? I'm having a new roof installed next week. We're replacing 5 turbines with Ridge vents.
GAF Cobra Rigid Vent 3
GAF Cobra Ridge Runner or Snow Country....no need for turbines.
What's a modern option
GAF Cobra Ridge Runner or the GAF Snow Country
nope your guys should be trained enough to know if a situations safe to go on. o
That's a heck of a statement to make when no one can even see the decking until the roof is ripped off....
Circumstances never overcome responsibility! You are absolutely right! They should be standing kn business. If they are sitting on it then what business do they really have!?❤😂 lol
hahaha
Imagine advocating for someone to screw people over based on greed.
imagine not understanding how to stay in business
Just had a roof replaced and they, the roofers replaced most my wood. That is your job! Fix the problem don’t make it worse.
Ehhhh gotta pay attention to the contract!
Lol that dude cant even hold a hammer
we will make sure to let him know
@prolineapp 😆 good times hope you guys have a good week!
Interesting
sometimes
Replaced older roof on my house last year. The roofers removed the worly birds and installed these. Now my attic is around 20-25 degrees hotter. And the inside of the house is slightly warmer too causing our power usage to go up from using the AC more. I guess this is standard stuff moat roofers use these days though.
people do yes

Your video needs SEO to get views and channel subscribers organically.

oh?
1 problem. To operate a drone for ANYTHING other than leisure (like your example) is a federal offense if you haven't completed your Part 107 UAG-s test and become certified with the FAA. That takes a good few weeks of study and a $175 test. Simply hiring out one good shoot of the before, during, and after may be a better idea. then you push that content across socials.
Are you saying $175 one time and a handful of hours studying isn't worth having a drone on every project...?
@prolineapp your post is about roofers who already don't have time for media. it could be worthwhile, but that's dependant on the value of the owner's time.. it just isn't as simple as buying a drone and throwing it up in the air. A couple hours of study, I would argue, is also an oversimplification. It's important to set expectations and keep people out of legal trouble. It took me a couple of good weeks of my free time on a decent paid course, and I still only scored an 87%. Someone who isn't already versed in photography, composition, etc, is also likely to produce a less compelling visual with the same tools as someone who's already experienced. A better argument to get licsensed would be, yeah, for the media use, but to utilize that drone for roofing inspections. Quick visuals to show a customer could turn over many more jobs and give a business the edge on competition with nore timely & less intrusive inspections.
@@joshuapile2333 thanks for sharing your thoughts
Genuine question, not trolling (and not in this space, so unfamiliar) - how common is it for someone to see an advertisement like this and actually engage? I feel like if I were in need of roofing services, I’d probably go online or perhaps use Thumbtack or similar. Do you suggest personalizing these a bit, based on what you can see of the prospect’s house? Again, just broadly curious 😊
It's about being top of mind. No single channel will destroy the rest. From affordability to get into the game, what is mentioned here is easier than FB ads or any of the lead services fro roofers to use.
The blonde guy is probably high anxiety and can't deal.....
oh wow
They don't pay there workers nothing young men don't get a pay intill there married why do you think you see so many young men on there job sites

Their overhead is smaller, and they're not in it to get rich. You'd have to live like them to beat or match pricing.
Fair enough
To beat the amish price... you must become the amish
hahah
I used to work at an Amish furniture store. I think all our furniture came out of Appleton Ohio. The Amish make unbelievable furniture!! Good stuff!
craftsmanship is unmatched
Well when you don't have to pay for phone internet electricity Electronics cars and you probably make all your own food cuz you're not spending money on doordash or going out to dinner, it's real easy to kick anyone's ass on price
Plus half your employees are your boys Jebediah Jeremiah Ezekiel and Jacob
fair enough
Lol. You can keep your 50 year product/ 25 year labor warranty. Lmao. Companies usually don't last that long. Neither do owners. 😂😂😂😂😂
that he will!
Pick up slack on your procreation gains. It'll work itself in the next season and a score 😅

Have you been around 25 years? Will you be in 25? That's insane
Do you sir have a roof warranty?
You never sold anything with that comment.obviously true because if you did you would know about margins and where the best margins are.
go on.
20? My roof Was good for 60 and i expect my new one to stay 100 years
sheeeeesh
"April 25th and 26th of 2024 I had a new roof installed. I'm 76 and my wife is 67. In our life time we have had 2 homes re-roofed, and 4 new homes built. In our neighbor hood in the past 12 years we have seen 4 homes re-roofed and 9 new construction roofs installed. Never in my life have I seen or heard of this. The roof was installed by a Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor. As they were also a new home builder we had them replace the aluminum fascia also. The shingles were Owens Corning Duration Quarry Gray. After 3 days and no rain we had brown streaks all over the eve drip and fascia . After a good rain the fascia and bottom 3ft of the house was covered in ""tobacco juice"". The rainy season started and every time it rains it happens again. It has slowed up but has become much harder to remove. A full 3 months later we have cleaned it 8 times ourselves and because of our age have had it cleaned 8 times at $30 a pop. The installer opened a case with Owens Corning and they replied, Your Owens Corning Product Warranty Registration Number is: OC-2024-WR-1876212. The formation of a “tobacco-juice” residue, so named for its color, is the normal result of the weathering of asphalt roofing or release of asphalt fractions from roofing materials such as shingles as well as base and cap sheets. Exposure conditions such as intense sunlight, air pollutants, accumulations of moisture/dew, and a prolonged lack of rain can cause the formation of this residue. The residue will not affect the performance of the roof and should not be considered a performance problem The residue is most likely to appear initially following the installation of the roof covering and once it washes away in the first rainy season, it is ""not likely"" to reoccur. I asked the installer to install the new fascia 1st so they wouldn't have to pry on the eve drip to install. Their project manger insisted to do it after the roof so it would not be damaged. It wasn't damaged but the eve drip on ever corner is a mess where it was pried out. So the 76 year old homeowner with severe arthritis and heart issues and his 67 year old wife are own their own to continuously keep the mess cleaned up to prevent permanent stain damage. So the answer from ""Best Regards, Carrie Customer Solutions Agent"" and the installer, is kick rocks. There's a reason you can't post comments to Owens Corning TH-cam videos or google reviews to their web site!"
Wow. Just use a flatbar. Th I s guy has never really roofed a say in his life.
hahaha the real fact is that Scott roofs DAILY
Recommendations for an electronics manufacturing company?
provide a better product that solves problems and sell on value with massive awareness of the experience your customer has with the marketplace rather than produce a high pressure sales environment with a race to the bottom on price.
I agree as a roofing contractor myself, charging for estimates is a great way to get no leads… however realtors are a great source of recurring revenue when it comes to inspections. They’re not homeowners and their “future” homeowners don’t want to spend money on repairs. They want reports and estimates for what future problems will cost and they want money off. Very easy to change $175 an hour for that, done in two!
Any reason why you wouldn't just use a website instant estimator with the realtors to have them get as many estimates as they'd like and take 0 of your time....?
These are more common in mechanic shops and construction sites I believe
maybe so
Scott & I share the same sentiment on Facebook leads, but mine has recently (last 6 months) shifted since hiring an awesome marketing manager making FB our #2 source of leads that convert to appointments.
Ah yes, John D and Scott and you probably all three agreed there for a bit about it....happy to have seen you turn the corner and like them better now.
