We did! For star wars day we used the Martian Racing Federation rules from Gas lands! It worked really well.

Is there an equivalent to Storm Cloud and other SWM paints? Secret Weapon Miniatures went out of business, and while I have a huge collection of paints I really like this style you've demonstrated and would like to get as close as possible. Since I don't know anything about their paints, are they similar to something like Citadel Contrast paints?
I would try contrast paints on any of the Vallejo inks. Anything translucent should do the trick. Just add a high gloss over the top.

@@Evil0tto Inks are far better option with translucent plastic IMO. They stick better and cover better than washes or contrast/instant/speedpaint (without clouding transclucent) and dry faster. Just buy blue, green and white inks (Vallejo, Scale75, whatever) plus satine or gloss varnish and that's all you need
Fantastic Idea My players love this but do you have any tricks to prevent them from sticking to eachother i find the cap covers like to stick to the back of other bottle caps

Hi, nice project! Paper towels, tissue paper, newspaper etc soaked in PVA, white glue may be a lot more easy to shape. And if you cover the egg in something like petroleum gelly it just slides out after drying, ready to be reused. When using two layers of paper and PVA the structure is likely stronger than the plastic egg itself. Most types of wood become bendable after soaking in hot water or even steaming.
Not a bad idea. I might have to try that for some different shaped huts.

Hot glue does not "hurt a lot" getting hit by a truck hurts a lot. With proper callouses on your hands from actually working you don't even feel hot glue.

That's pretty cool. I've also seen a vid where they used a flexible adhesive magnet to mount them on instead of the bottle caps.I think the caps look niftier. I could see using diff coloured ones for different tokens as well, like white caps for player tokens or NPCs, silver ones to make treasure tokens, etc... These look like they'd be more durable ( and portable for convention kit) than stand-up paper minis. Nice work!
Thanks, yes these caps also fit around a 25mm base perfectly so if you do use minis it's a great way to mark different conditions like prone, charmed and so on.
