Interesting guys 👍 The room Looks in good condition, so Depending on the prep I'd be able to complete this in a day with 2 of us on the job. Preperation throughout. Ceiling should be 1 coat?? One person doing the wood work (waterbased paint for faster recoat time) One rolling the walls then cut in. This should be 3/4 hours work, then repeat for second coat. I'm in the UK so I'd know what products to use. I really like American products like Zinsser, Benjamin Moore etc, great paints 👍

Hey Jon! I'm not quite sure if I understand the math behind getting the average hourly wage between the 3 employees. Why would you want to apply the average wage of $23.65 to the final hourly rate? Wouldn't you lose money in the long run if you were charging $62.12/hr (the final hourly rate), but you owed your 3 employees a total of $70.95/hr for their labor? Shouldn't the total hourly rate charged to the customer be $114.68? Thank you! Loved the video btw

How many gallons of paint are we talking here?

You guys this is sooo affirming! I literally got a strip peeled from one side down the other from a contractor who had a slightly larger room with added crown, doors with details, windows to be painted as well and claimed I should be able to do it in a little over one man day. These videos are great especially seeing them from around the country because it affirms what I’ve felt to be true and what has worked for us thus far.

How do you figure out hr per hour??? For diff places

2 Painters / 2 Days / 16 hours max. Only Ceiling without painting of the walls. On a repaint, I wouldn't think there would be a lot of caulking. Likely more imperfections with the trim and drywall. $2250 here. IMO

how you measure 3 story house , siding and trim?

Just a little ding because at the 4:00 mark in the video it shows the ceiling with popcorn texture. Dude. Don't even get me started, but your calculations should adjust based on the texture of the surface you are painting. And popcorn is almost the worst for so many reasons.

Ok. I don't usually do this, but... Are you blind or just full of poop? Maybe you just live in an area with fewer minorities/ women in general. Either way, pushing DEI hiring is a BAD move for the trades. I spent the majority of my career, 10+yrs, in residential property management. I rarely ever met a white contractor. Every painting company was Hispanic owned and staffed. I even knew a woman painter. Electricians- Hispanic, some white + lots of women. Plumbers- some Filipino, some Hispanic and some white + some women. Carpenters- also a mix. Moral of the story: You're in some kind of bubble or, someone lied to you. The trades are full of minorities and women. We even have tons of women engineers and project managers and welders, yes, iron workers. I don't like these kinds of videos bc it paints a false picture for those who don't know how to find the truth. And that creates social justice warriors for something that doesn't need "justice". Stop feeding into the lie buddy. Lastly, just bc women technically know how to do a job, does not mean they should be allowed to. Inclusive does not mean filling the position with someone whose body isn't meant for that kind of work. There needs to be balance and common sense. Otherwise, the unqualified worker gets hurt and possibly others too.

As long as the recruitment process is organic, you will get quality recruits. If you try to force it with DIE quotas, it will be a shitshow.
