I live in Gaffney now. My mom rode with him in the cab. She wasnt fat nor ugly. But very lucky. I guess cause she wasnt young as he wanted. Or it wasn't the right time for him. And her ex husband was a mail man and seen him washing blood of his car. He tried to tell people but they didn't believe.

My mother was almost 9 months pregnant with me when Leroy Martin followed behind her closely down from Robinette’s store on Cherokee Ave and River Drive. My grandfather worked in the mill with him and he knew my family. I’ll never forget the stories my mother and grandparents told me of this.

Bless his heart. That's so heartbreaking that anyone would have to be in so much pain before passing away. 💔

My Godmother knew Lee Roy Martin. He always came into where she worked and offered her a ride home. She turned him down everytime.

I found an amazing dvd movie called The Dark Corner about this area of SC. I highly recommend it.

I live near Gaffney S.C..I remember the Gaffney strangler and the Gaffney shooter. I was 12 years old when the Gaffney strangler arrived, we were all afraid, afraid when the shooter showed up too. The strangler he follow me and my brother while we we're walking the neighborhood one day and we ran home, I will never forget what he looked like. This was before we heard of any murders. My mom and I was watching the news when they caught him and I told my mom that is the man that followed us, car too. I just thank God my brother was with me..The strangler killed a 12 or 14 year old little girl, he showed up at her house to view her body and stood by someone and said this is just awful. The lady who he killed who was arguing with her husband she called a cab and the strangler was a part time cab driver, that is what I was told. He worked in the mill. People couldn't believe he did this.

Thats so cool. Love haunted place come to my and my moms house.

I have lived a half-century my entire life in Greenville or Taylors and visited Poinsette Bridge several times. I have never heard it was haunted until a few years ago. But I do have to admit when I took my dog there he seemed to be on edge and nervous.

Been they Gaffney many times ... never heard of this story

Now they put a walmart supermarket there and moved the graves to the side on the parking lot up in a hill.

Grew up in Marietta...partied there many times in the 80's and have been back many times since ....no spooks at this bridge...its all in your mind .

I visit this graveyard sometimes because my great great grandfather and mother and their young son are buried there.

I live in Gaffney and anyone who lives here knows there’s a big drug problem so I don’t trust anything I hear anymore

Could anyone provide/advise on how to go about receiving permission to video/investigate these locations - any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks

I lived in Gaffney and I was 12 years old when this happened. Nancy Rhinehart went to the same elementary school I attended. I felt sorry for her. Many of the kids picked on her and made fun of her. She led a sad life.

There is a orb around the 20:40 mark. I don't know if anyone noticed it or not

I'm shocked. I've been to that graveyard 15 years ago and it wasn't wasn't this run down. It wasn't kept up that well but it wasn't that over grown.

I live 10 minutes away. I take me dogs here all the time and iv never herd of it being haunted untill I Google searched it. I don't think it's haunted. People just want it to be.

I work in the same building he was arrested in and feel an overwhelming presence as well as noticed some strange things happening pretty frequently

Of course there are bad feelings at Poinsett bridge. He was not a nice guy.

This girl in my class has a sister who is friends with this girl and that’s her great great great grandpa

So religious yet had slaves. Hmm. Oh wait that's right. The god they worshipped was okay with slavery. Wow. Talk about indoctrination. Forcing the slaves to read from the bible. She wasn't odd. She was a bitch.

I'm planning on moving there. I will looking into this.
