@@TardyMarty I'm not holding my breath for that either. I do have hopes of course and I wonder if it will have NASCAR. Kind of doubtful. Probably not enough Yank in it's blood. But I've asked questions here regarding car set up, adjustment within the seat of a car since there's no VR. "?" I get no answers other than try the demo. So I guess that's the answer. A limited demo but vids here with an arcade classification. $69.99? A fun arcade game ok... but not for that price. I see a lot of people hopping on the iracing bandwagon , meaning sim makers wanna charge more and sell online quality but for onliners only.

@ yeah $70 for this game is pretty crazy to be honest. It’s been out for a year now and it’s only just now starting to feel more complete, at least to me. The performance has been much better after this last patch and I’m thankful for that. The only real adjustments you can do in this game are your FOV for the different views. There’s also a drift camera that you can throw on but nothing like look to apex like asseto corsa has. If you’re on wheel the game also takes some playing around with to make it feel ok. Nothing like how iRacing or any more prominent sims would feel like tho. It’s a fun game to hop on and get some races in with a large skill gap between drivers.

@@TardyMarty Interesting. I still might give it a whirl but I'd like to hit it on a sale cheaper since I gues it's arcade. Which is not a crime either. If it's fun then cool I say. Thanx for the heads up. I think one of the best sims I've driven within my ASR4 chassis is "RaceRoom"! Especially after it's last two updates. It's made by KW suspension team and it's pretty fun! based, Germany, I wish they'd do a take on NASCAR Their GT series is a blast.

@ I’ll have to look into that one. I need to get my wheel back out and use it more. I didn’t like it on forza so I’ve just been using my roller for this game. If you have the Xbox game pass by chance you can play the game through there. Or get it for a month then cancel it. Save you some money to try it out.

I'm not sure on the tire life, it doesn't really seem like you have better wear on the high line. at least not on Daytona. on the other tracks where you need to let off for the corners I imagine you could save a bit of tire life but not enough to really make a difference I think, you can save fuel by being in draft that's forsure

thanks for the tips! I'm down but our time zones don't mesh up well. I usually race around midnight my time and I'm like 6 or so hours behind you if i remember correct.

@@oppos727 yeah braking has been a huge issue for me in this game. I feel like either I hit it just right or I’m off and I need to readjust a few times either before or mid corner. It’s been driving me nuts, I’ll look into your suggestions. Thank you for the feedback 🤙

​​@@TardyMartyA lot of people tend to look for brake points and start pushing it bit by bit until they lose it. Try the opposite approach. Instead of brake points, figure out early on how fast the car CAN brake. Look into the screen deeply, and try and focus on the sense of motion for a sense of your approach. Start braking slightly later, harder, and then trail off slowly. Some cars will benifit from this more than others and some do like to brake in straight lines more than others. Try running a slightly more rear brake bias, this will allow you to brake later, and also add a rudder effect when braking slightly and trailing off. When braking, dont slam the brake, but rather take about 1 second through the brake travel. Try lowering overall brake pressure to the low to mid 90%'s to help avoid lockups and better aim for that 80% brake mark. See if you can manage slightly lower ABS settings (if MID or rotary control is available) Don't underestimate Medium Tyres or even Hards for GT4s. As Tyres get hot, mediums will retain grip better than softs and will also have more grip over time (sorry already see you're using mediums). Use all of the track and really focus on exits and let the braking kind of fall into line around that. Also, under circumstances that it helps to avoid lockups under downshifts with some cars, dont be afraid to dab the throttle as you downchange and sometimes the rev matching kicker can be a bit weak if the gear ratios are harsh enough etc Hope it helps mate

@@GregoryShtevensh Thank you for the tips! I've started to but the brake bias more rearward and i have been noticing how well it rotates into corners. I wish this game would let us tune that on the fly like other games do. Forza is quite bare bones in the fact that you cant change anything on the fly. I think that would be a really nice upgrade to the game and make things much more competitive. I recorded a race tonight talking about this and braking issues I have. Will be uploaded soon.
